I think you meant to say “ Tom & Jerry debuted in theaters”. These cartoons started on the big screen next main features. Television DID exist at this point, but oh so NOT in the way we associate it as today. Especially not in 1940. Lol

@sketching204 True, but I was more talking about how they reduce her to just “that” in the later years. There are bits in American dad where Francine gets that way too (Looking at you American Fung, you god awful disturbing, and time wasting episode), but at least she is more nuanced.

@sketching204 The irony is Lost Village is one of the most “fine” CGI animated movies ever, But in terms of a movie adaption of the Smurfs, it’s the best of the theatrical bunch even with its flaws no contest. I will always defend SLV for not relying on a cringe “modern” twist.

While I can go on with my dissatisfaction and slight RAGE with this cliffhanger, regardless of how it ended, Spectacular Spider-Man is still a one of a kind fantastic superhero cartoon. So I’m grateful it got to be made at all. Hopefully it CAN conclude in SOME way one day.❤️🫡

Considering his voice over resume with Anime, Kirk Tingbald’s JB crew clearly casted Quintin Flynn as voice of that anime hero boy on purpose and LOVE them for that. Lol

@BlazeBinges Probably one of my favorite and most tragic characters James Arnold Taylor has ever voiced. Even though Harry did something he clearly shouldn’t have, ya can’t help but feel bad for him too.

I mean, his buff form is just a combo of him, Broly and freaking Garlic Jr. XD

@CopicSquiddo Little Lulu also got a 90’s animated series produced by the same Canadian studio who made Arthur, Cinar. It’s actually a pretty decent show for kids. The only thing Little Audrey got was being apart of Dreamworks Animation’s Harvey Street Girls, where they SUPER tomboy-ed her.

@thatdaffyduck Dude same. I would actually play an Arkum-ish game with Superman as the lead. What’s the hold up? I get Bats makes quicker profits, but the SM has been picking up lately, especially with My Adventures.

@thatdaffyduck @CopicSquiddo I never thought about this before as a kid, but you know you have a great main villain if you can make them silly AND serious, and it almost always works for Mojo. He was a great goofy villain here, but he was also great as a dramatic villain for for say, the PPG movie too.

Oh yes. Disney’s 2nd but I feel it’s their 1st GOOD animated feature having a good narrative. Although I feel this poster’s a little TOO happy that it’s misleading considering the scary stuff he goes through.
