@BondCabdriver 3 to 4 months for a PH drivers licence from application ? Up to 4 yrs for a fully qualified HC drivers licence no amount of open letters to the Mayor or any other politician will halt the overwhelming of the HC trade. Sad but true IMO

If they ‘buy’ at all, likely a leasing deal. We could have a choice of 10 PH lookalike vehicles, it wont add one driver to the demand for them. One tier enabling.
@BondCabdriver @Taxi_Point Let’s also be honest, they probably already get a bulk discount from the manufacturer. Why do you think they’ve not stated how much they are buying each cab for?

Dear Asher, VAT is a treasury matter. Nothing wrong with the content of the KoL, many used to pass out in 18 months, so it’s a throughput issue. You’ve broken cover as a TC abolitionist, I wonder what your current fleet will be worth if LEVC pull out? Cabs against the wall?

Nonsense and you know it. The pension scheme is in surplus, Councils direct grant halved over a decade that is why there are issues.
@Thefatgirl5 @seanpaulday Self employed pension is a waste of time compared to a local authority pension. Friend of mine who worked for council got nearly £8 for every £1 he paid in. Thats why councils are all bankrupt.

The retirement age fot a full pension in Local Authorities is 67, the scheme is fully funded by contributors.
@seanpaulday Get a proper job with holiday pay, sick pay, maternity pay and pension. Taxi driving used to be a good job but the older you get the more you wish you'd had a nice job in the council and retire at 55.

But aren’t some claiming that theres a shortage of vehicles causing wheelchair users access problems? That bullshit is understandable from alternative cab sellers but not from trade orgs in London who are aware of the truth.

Complainants against taxi drivers are given better protection than Frank Pantegele, how can any process that includes exclusion from your livelihood not afford you the right to cross examine or pursue for malicious allegations? TfL staff would not tolerate it for themselves.
@GaryLong1661 After a complaint against me many years ago, I responded that I would attend the offices of TFL with my legal representative if the complainant is also present. NFA and not on record.

Is it understaffing? Contractor unable? Negligence? Can you carry on if your Doctor has determined you fit but TfL has your application stuck in a queue? Can you take action against TfL? As ever a diagnosis but no intention of acting to resolve, another LTDA Puff Piece.
