Thank you to Lance Corporal Harris and Corporal Provis for leading fantastic session on Operations of Flight, focusing on Gliding, Aircraft Cockpit, and Air Cadet Aircraft. We developed understanding of aircraft and instrument terminology. A fantastic second session back!

Last meet before Christmas: Our first term included, Festival of remembrance, open evenings, Royal Air Squadron Competition, Royal Gun Salute for King Charles III official birthday, and our own inter-flight comp. Congratulations to comp winners, leaders and DofE badge achievers!

Arrived at RAF Cosford earlier today, ready for the RAST (Royal Air Squadron Trophy) competition tomorrow. This evening was spent shaping berets, prepping kit and playing cards. #teambuilding #newexperiences

01.10.24: Students collected their coveralls, practical and welcome insulation for winter months. Thank you to Oli (Year 12) who led a session on radio comms, sharing existing knowledge with peers; working to become a qualified instructor. Update on Oli’s assessment next week!

This week saw students begin their basic cadet training, starting with the History and Structure of the RAF Air Cadets (ATC and CCF). A step towards their first classification badge! Followed by foot drill led by Corporals Aaron, Brecon and Oli. Fantastic Evening!
