We had to be creative today when we rescued these ducklings on N. Maple Grove. Engine 4 recorded the mama duck and played it back at the opening to lure the babies out of the pipe. A happy early Mother's Day gift for this mom duck.

Last night we responded to a man free climbing off of Rocky Canyon Rd. He became stuck half way up the rock face. Crews successfully rappelled down to him, picked him off the ledge & both were lowered to the ground. Kudos to our highly trained technical rescue team!

Thank you to our Fire crew for working quickly to rescue this cat from a house fire today! Boise Fire responded to an accidental kitchen fire on the 1000 block of 19th St this afternoon. Crews quickly put out the fire. 1 resident suffered minor injuries, and one cat was rescued.

@AdaCoSheriff
who will modify the engine and use it for their metro SWAT team. This engine has gone on nearly 15,000 calls in the last five years alone. A well used engine that will get a new life with ACSO!

Tonight Dive 1 rescued a male holding on to a tree in the middle of the river. The male subject was floating the river without a life jacket when he fell out of his tube. Due to the swift flows and cold water temperatures he was unable to swim to shore.

Multiple units are responding to a structure fire at 2nd and Myrtle. Fire and smoke can be seen coming from the roof. Access is currently an issue as the building is under construction. This is a second alarm fire response and police have closed multiple roads in the area.

At 6:07 am this morning crews were dispatched to an apartment building fire on E Bannock St. The fire started on the 3rd floor of the 9 story apartment. One victim has been transported to a local hospital. The fire is out.

to rescue some people who became trapped in their homes due to rising flood waters. This past weekend we trained with the Idaho National Guard on this exact scenario.

At approximately 5:30 pm tonight Boise Fire responded to a mutual aid request for a truck that rolled off an embankment on Hwy 21 at milepost 13. When fire crews arrived they found one patient near the Highway, and immediately provided patient care.

It was a busy opening day of float season on the Boise River yesterday. In the span of 5 1/2 hours yesterday afternoon, Boise Fire’s Dive Team had 14 rescue assists with 4 of those being life-threatening/lifesaving rescues.

Update: Firefighters were able to access the roof on the 8th floor of the building using two ladder trucks. They also ran water lines up the ladder to access the roof. Firefighters were able to get control of the fire by 7:08 pm.

Today firefighters responded to a female that got her leg stuck in between two rocks at Eagle Rock. The rescue team first extricated the female from the rocks and then performed a high-angle rescue to safely move her down the slope into the ambulance.

At 1:52am BFD responded to a fully involved 2 story house fire on the 1800 blk of Londoner Way. All residents were able to safely get out. No other homes were damaged due to the quick response of fire crews. The Burnout fund and Redcross are providing assistance to the residents.

Just after 6 tonight, we responded to a fire on N Sampson Ave. A family of 4 was home but made it out. The fire was contained to the garage but heavy smoke did damage the the living space. One firefighter suffered a knee injury. The cause is under investigation.
