I hope you're having a good time, but please remember that THE KILLER IS STILL AMONG US (ITA 1986)! This wonderful thriller appears pretty conventional at first glance, but it has a brilliant gimmick. Yesterday, I fell in love with this film!
INSEMINOID (GBR 1981) wants to be an exciting science fiction horror film, but it turns out to be loopy and still has managed to be accidentally entertaining! 🙃
CRUISING (USA 1980) by William Friedkin, who has recently passed away, is a gripping thriller with an awesome cast. Also, it's a wonderful time capsule of an era when sexual freedom managed to be a part of pop culture.
THE NIGHT EVELYN CAME OUT OF THE GRAVE (ITA 1971) - the crude plot might be due to the screenwriter's abuse of J&B whisky, but opulent settings and unique ideas like four look alike maids make this thriller pretty enjoyable! 👍👍
Cristina Galbó, Ray Lovelock and a Mini are the protagonists in Jorge Grau's beautiful horror film THE LIVING DEAD AT MANCHESTER MORGUE (ESP, ITA 1974). The inconvenient political message frustratingly has become even more up to date.
THE SLAYER (USA 1982) is quite predictable and has a low body count. On the other hand, it never gets boring watching these handsome actors in casual attire spending their holidays! 🙃
As a Laura Gemser fan, I had to see CRIME BUSTERS (ITA, USA 1977). It turned out that the comedy about two underdogs (Bud Spencer, TerenceHill), who involuntarily become cops and guardian angels of Chinese immigrants, is surprisingly good!
In Jean Rollin's KILLING CAR (FRA 1993), a mysterious woman is shooting people, leaving a toy car with the victim. Several times, I was asking myself:"What's going on?" Nevertheless, I've had a great time!
Florinda Bolkan, Guiliano Gemma, and Kirg Douglas have graced my hometown Hamburg by staring in the pretty good heist movie THE MASTER TOUCH (ITA, GER 1972)! What a pleasant surprise! 😎👍
CLASS OF 1999 (USA 1990) - cyborg teachers (among others Pam Grier 😍) exert discipline over their pupils in extreme ways. This can't be a dystopic film since we all would love to be taught strictly by foxy Pam Grier, don't we? 🥰 I also 🩵 the creepy blue eyes of Stacy Keach!
Amanda Lear is singing while a woman experiences her downfall. THE PYJAMA GIRL CASE (ITA, ESP) is definitely not a typical murder mystery. Nevertheless, this stylish downer is highly recommended! 😰👌
Today, I've seen for the first time an all-time classic - BLACK SUNDAY (ITA 1960). The main attraction is the admirable Barbara Steele. What a gorgeous movie! 👏👏👏👹
I finally have a David Hasselhoff film in my DVD collection! The surprisingly good Joe D'Amato production LA CASA 4 (ITA 1988) also features Linda Blair and Hildegard Knef. There's no stealing from THE EXORCIST in it but a charming quote. 😊👍👍
An alien who is sentenced to do some time on planet Earth is taking people's heads. Detective Rae Dawn Chong is on the case. THE BORROWER (USA 1991) is a gorgeously odd horror film! 👽👍👍
Vietnam war buddies get together again for a vendetta. KILL SQUAD (USA 1981) reminds me of a toxic masculine version of the Village People! Brilliant! 🙃👍👍
ABSURD (ITA 1981) - a mutated and super stalwart George Eastman is causing gory trouble. Joe D'Amato's shamelessly brutal video nasty classic doesn't need to be flawless in order to entertain brilliantly! 🤪👍👍
A woman is passing out in the streets of New York City and gets kidnapped by a fake ambulance. A hunky cartoonist (Eric Roberts) is trying to get her out. THE AMBULANCE (USA 1990) isn't the most plausible film in the world but great fun anyway! 🚑👍👍
MALATESTA'S CARNIVAL OF BLOOD (USA 1973) is rather surreal and highly entertaining! According to imdb, this is Janine Carazo's only movie. She did an awesome job and looked terrific in her white nightgown! 🙃💕
THE GIRL WHO KNEW TOO MUCH (ITA, USA 1963) - the boy who knew too little about this movie finally managed to see Mario Bava's wonderful thriller classic!
constant telephone ringing, hysterical overacting, and an offbeat soundtrack don't make it easy to get access to NIGHTMARE (USA, ITA 1981), but if you manage to do so, you'll get a macabre thrill out of it!
THE CEREMONY OF THE SENSES (ITA 1979) is trying hard to be artistically valuable and shocking. At least it's somehow special, and Eva Robin's is in it! 🙃
THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT (USA 1999) - For 24 years, I believed that I could skip this film because it wouldn't work for me anyway. Now, after I've watched it for the first time, I'm amazed how little I actually need to see to get excited! Very well done! 👍👍
BLOODY MUSCLE BODY BUILDER IN HELL (JPN 1995) is obviously of low budget and heavily inspired by the EVIL DEAD films. Nevertheless, it's great fun and a humorous reminder to do your workouts! 💪😁
All college students who do pranks deserve to die, except Jamie Lee Curtis, is what we can learn from TERROR TRAIN (CAN 1980), and I couldn't agree more! Also, magician David Copperfield is showing all of his tricks! 🔪🪄👍👍
(1/2) ANTHROPOPHAGUS (ITA 1980) - a group of young and good looking people are visiting a Greek island where a man eating George Eastman is already lurking! This video nasty classic grew on me over the years. Meanwhile I adore it!
For the pornographic comedy LUST INCORPORATED (GER 1988) the entire US porn elite was flown in to Germany! Angel Kelly is easing up people's minds by introducing them to voyeurism. I have a crush on her since I'm a teenager! 😍
THE ITALIAN CONNECTION (ITA, GER 1972) - Woody Strode and Henry Silva on the hunt for Mario Adorf! This gangster film is super cool, offers a lot of J&B and needs to be seen! 😎👍👍
In these days (Covid 19, panic buying, prize increase...) supermarkets have become places of horror and INTRUDER (USA 1989) has become topical in hindsight. (It's also a wonderful slasher movie! 😉)
COMBAT SHOCK (USA 1984) must be the most depressing film Troma has to offer! A Vietnam veteran suffers from post-traumatic stress syndrome, and the audience suffers too. Nevertheless, the film looks and sounds interesting and is worth being endured!
THE EVIL DEAD (USA 1981) - Sam Raimi and his congenially crew shot this horror classic with little budget and plenty of great ideas. I was in state of anxiety, after I've seen it for the first time back in the 1980's. If you haven't seen it already: "We're gonna get you!"
ZABRISKIE POINT (USA 1970) - this is my fourth Antonioni movie and again all I can say is: I'm deeply fascinated! I'm out of words and very much in love!
THE GESTAPO'S LAST ORGY (ITA 1977) has lots of dialogue and little nudity or violence to offer. This film is incredibly stupid but accidentally manages to be bizarrely entertaining! 🙃 Have a listen to the terrible soundtrack if you dare 😖:
OASIS OF THE ZOMBIES (FRA, ESP 1982) is better than its reputation! On the other hand, it surely isn't the most exciting film in the world. I would describe it as sophisticated boring. Also, I ❤️ the soundtrack! 🧟♂️
A group therapy (lead by therapist Klaus Kinski 🙃) is decimated by brutal murders! SCHIZOID (USA, ISR 1980) is a nicely done thriller. Also, the performance of Donna Wilkes was very appealing to me! ❤️
MANOS: THE HANDS OF FATE (USA 1966) got a 1,6/10 rating at imdb! Nevertheless, I enjoyed this weird film and I give extra points for the master's cool costume! 🙃👍
