If you're over 40 and not on TRT
Then optimized training becomes wiser and wiser
Your margin for error is smaller. You must maximize the stimulus while minimizing fatigue.
Recovery becomes a narrower and narrower tight rope to walk.
This is where optimized training is
I used to be atheist
But the more devil worship, pedophilia, and straight evil I see coming out of Hollywood, politics, and the elite
Makes me want to side with the light and cultivate good in the world
3 weeks ago we banned screens from my 2 y/old
This week we majorly reduced his sugar intake
The behavior changes have been dramatic. Less tantrums, eats more, more pleasant to be around.
Can't imagine what this poison is doing to adults. Including me.
How to acheive dramatic body recomposition:
All you have to do is flip the right 'Metabolic Switches'.
Then it's just consistency + time.
What are these switches?
1. Protein Synthesis
2. Lipolysis & Oxidation
The good news?
You can do this daily with a couple key habits.
Went out to dinner last night. First time in a while.
What I witnessed was abhorrent
The normalization of sloppiness and obesity is ubiquitous.
We are a nation of slobs
The best thing you can do to fight the virus isn't getting vaxxed
It's improving your nutrition, metabolic fitness, and general well being
Unpopular Opinion:
Get fit or you're part of the problem
I'm 38 w/ 2 kids <4y/old, 12 employees, and 184 in-person clients
It's hard to take seriously a 20-somethings advice on nutrition, training, and lifestyle optimization
You are living life on easy mode and still on level 1️⃣
It's proven that COVID is most deadly if you're overfat (or old)
The government and its "experts" mandated rules where the average American gained 29lbs
Marinate on that one
🤡🌎
I fuckin hate squats
But they are useful for a strong body and mind
Just like vegetables
So eat your veggies and do your squats weekly. Just like I do.
Been at the hospital for the last 45 hours
And the lighting here is terrible. I can feel its ill effects
I think I've discovered why nurses who work night shifts have terrible health in average
It's this awful bright blue fake light all night
Took the 23andMe test. Discovered I'm homozygous for the MTHFR genes
This explained headaches, low energy/motivation, general grouchiness
Started supping TMG, Methyl B Vitmns, and minrls. It's been an absolute game changer
If you don't feel awesome most of time, look in to it!
@chrisboettcher9
Visceral fat is highly responsive to LISS cardio
This sounds like blasphemy, but until your below the overfat wasit:height ratio
I would prioritize cardio just as much as resistance training
Now here's how you tie it all together:
-Mon-Weds-Fri Strength Training
-Everyday of the week fasted walking for 45min first thing in the morning.
-Eat 30% of your calories from protein
--Getting atleast .7g/lb of bodyweight
Do that weekly and you'll see progress.
Guaranteed.
Deadlifting 253% of bodyweight
Rebuilding my back, core, and pulling strength
I can't bang like I did in my 20s, but I still have progress to be captured.
How much do genetics determine results?
I got my DNA analyzed. It says I don't have the genes that elite bodybuilders or powerlifters share.
What does this mean?
You can achieve superior results with average genetics through intelligent programming, hardwork, and consistency
So stoked with my gym expansion
Here's a little walk thru excluding our conditioning area
It's not your tradional globo gym. We're private and only do 1on1 and small group training
@ben_gramfitness
Once a day preemptively do a task or chore that she'll notice and make both of your lives better
Eg empty the dishwasher, fix something, buy her favorite food
It'll pay dividends
[Lipolysis + Oxidation]
Achieve a calorie deficit by eating less and getting off your ass daily.
-10k+ steps per day will do the trick.
--But, don't stunt your muscle gainz with too much cardio. Keep it easy.
My secret? Daily fasted walking. First thing in the morning.
@Cernovich
It's socially acceptable to hate on short men, who are born that way.
While it's unacceptable to make fun of fat women, who could get fit if they wanted to bad enough.
Shout out to
@ScottAdamsSays
and a brief report on his latest book Loserthink
If you're looking for an easy read and some quick brain gains I highly recommend this one!
💪🧠
@Surgeon_General
Will you now advocate for removal of vaccine passports/mandates?
Your experience has proven that won't stop. Transmission
And punishing those for choosing not to vaccinate is causing undue harm. Which is agasint your hippocratic oath
It's wild to me that people still talk about
1. Creatine (5g/day)
2. Resting 3+ minutes between sets for muscle & strength
Super basic. Thoroughly researched.
And yet like a zombie, these topics just refuse to die
They are so well proven, they may as well be laws
I don't post many before & afters of clients because most of them are very private people.
But here's one of my favs...
It's hard to believe she's:
👉 40 years old
👉 A mom
👉Drinks wine and whiskey on the weekends
👉And keeps her new physique year round.
[Protein Synthesis]
Strength Training + High Quality Protein Intake
The short of it?
1. Lift weights, full body, three times per week forever progressing with intensity and volume over time.
2. Eat .7 grams per lb. of body weight of protein daily
If you can't Overhead Press your bodyweight
Then you're either too fat or too weak
My recco is to fix the fatness first. Get your waist:height ratio = <0.5
@Chandle74418127
Point is that just because something is approved by the FDA doesn't mean it's safe or healthy
Fentanyl is useful for a very narrow application. But it's over/misuse is skyrocketing levels of overdose deaths.
