Billings continues to be in between weather disturbances again today. So that means sunny skies light winds and mild temperatures. The New year will start out sunny but we could see some rain or snow near us come Saturday morning.

It has turned out to be a beautiful night in Billings tonight and things only get better from here. We do see snow moving into the west, but we think the snow will stay on the other side of the mountains through the New year as temps stay above average.

We started out very foggy today in Billings. The fog redevelops in Shepherd this evening. However, we are watching a big snow storm in the 4 corner states. That storm should just slide under Montana tomorrow. Then 40s await us early next year. #mtwx

High Pressure continues to build into Billings from the southwest overnight. We do see a new weather system move onshore out west tonight. Some of that snow could see it's way into Billings and south central Montana Saturday night and Sunday.

Our one chance at snow for Christmas has come and gone with the wind. We now expect breezy condtions and warmer temperature overnight and into Christmas eve and Christmas day. Look for 40s for highs and the next chance at Snow Saturday night.

Cloudy but wet was the story today in Billings. Still too warm to snow. However, a New cold front moves in Tuesday and could bring us some snow flurries. We expect warmer temperatures around Christmas day, so look for any snow to melt.

The latest GFS computer model run shows the possibility of heavy snow in Southern Montana during Christmas Week. These estimates are only preliminary but some suggest over 6 inches of snow on Tuesday for Billings. Then dry skies Christmas day.

It is indeed kind of a Quiet night in Billings as most of the next weather system is just now moving onshore. Downsloping winds off the mountains will inhibit any rain or snow from hanging too long, as temps stay rather steady the rest of the week.

It has turned out to be kind of a quiet day in Billings. The temps are still a little cool and we see more snow moving into Missoula but we think that snow will dissipate before it gets here. The next system drops south. Look for 40s late in the week.

Billings picked up another 2 " of snow overnight and early this morning taking our total to 4 " at the Airport. Most of the snow is leaving tonight. However, we expect another night of cold temps. We eventually warm up in the the 40s and 50s this week.

A Low pressure Cell in Wyoming will be slinging some snow up toward Montana later tonight and most of Saturday. The latest computer models suggest we could see 2 to 4 inches of over the weekens then back to the 30s and 40s later next week.

We got the cooler temps and flurries today in Billings. A fresh batch of snow and cool temps are just around the corner for Billings. It's moving onshore today in the Pac NW. We could see measurable snow in Billings Friday night and Saturday.
