It was a pleasure having the management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC led by it’s dynamic CEO, Nana Yaw Sarpong. Since he assumed office as CEO, Nana Yaw has brought some dynamism and renewed energy into the management of the Club, and I pray to God that he succeeds.

I engaged residents of Adumanu in my constituency, Bantama, as part of my one-to-one meeting initiative: “MP’s Community Clinic”. At the ‘clinic’, constituents were given the opportunity to raise issues of concern in the same way that a person may directly consult a doctor.

I joined community leaders to cut sod for the construction of a Community Library at Bantama, first of its kind in the community, where I was born & raised. Upon completion, the facility will be a useful platform for knowledge acquisition, including ICT education for school kids

I inspected ongoing dredging works at the Odaw drainage channel, and met with section of inhabitants operating along the banks of the river, whose actions, including the indiscriminate disposal of solid waste contribute to the perennial flooding in our communities.

I inspected works on a bridge construction project in the Bantama Constituency. The bridge, when completed, will link Bohyen to Adoato Adumanu, towards Kwadaso, which will help ease traffic at the Suame roundabout and the western by-pass of Kumasi. We are grateful to President.

Indiscriminate disposal of solid waste into our drainage channels is one of the main causes of perennial flooding in Ghana as we experience every year in my own backyard, on the Abrepo Junction-Barekese. Let’s be responsible citizens, as development is a shared responsibility.
