It's been a year since I published LTEP. I think this is the most important thing I've ever written, and I'm glad it resonated with so many people. Unfortunately, the only thing that's changed since then is that we've learned that COVID is even WORSE.

It's kind of silly to go through all of this political reckoning and still fail to conceptualize "holding power" as anything that can happen beyond the scope of the existing state. "Stop begging liberals to listen to you" applies even if you win liberal democratic elections.

Yes, I once willingly attended a convention of nematode researchers, and I kinda had a blast tbh. Those worm people know how to get freaky. The booze was flowing, my nails were sparkling, and I hadn't yet internalized the emotional abuse my PI was intentionally wreaking on me 🥰

So no, Marxism -- and Marxists themselves -- are not inherently "anti-indigenous." If indigenous liberation is your primary concern, becoming a decolonial Marxist is the best way to accomplish that. It's also the best way to combat chauvinist trends within Marxism.
