If what’s going on at Texas isn’t a reminder all Sooner fans to be grateful to
@soonerad
and
@CoachBobStoops
for their leadership, nothing will be.
@OU_Football
fans should not only be grateful for what Stoops did, but for stepping aside when he did so Riley didn’t get away.
Hard to believe it’s been 8 years since we lost you. Your impact on this state will always be felt. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me and my family. Say hey to mom and the Legend for me.
Happy 64th birthday in Heaven to one Robert Barry, Jr. Mentor, friend, reason I got in the door at WWLS. His impact on my life and my family will be felt forever, and I’m one of countless others. Enjoy a pack of M&M’s or a French 75 in his honor today. We love and miss you Bobby.
Oklahoma needs one win to go to a bowl and get 15 extra practices.
Surely Oklahoma State allows OU to win this game.
It’s better for the state and their long time partner, right?
Ryan Walters just said he wants the history of the Tulsa Race Massacre to be taught in public schools but objects to the teaching that the event happened “because of the color of people’s skin.”
A thread...My sweet mother met Jesus at the finish line yesterday morning. I can’t possibly express how much I love her and respect her. Melissa Anderson and I are so fortunate to have parents that raised us to follow Christ. Not everyone is that lucky...
You mean a highly touted 17 star high school superstar QB might actually not be as good as people thought? I had people telling me he should have played over Hurts. It ain’t all about jump passes and throwing it in a bucket off a mountain. His field vision is terrible.
Fantastic guy. Less than a month after my son's diagnosis, Landry saw him playing and asked Kristin "you mean he has type 1 diabetes too?" We were able to explain to Landry that you can do anything you want even if you have T1D. He deserves all the success in the world.
"Mark Andrews, to me, is one of the more remarkable stories in this whole COVID story that is 2020."
"Here's a guy with Type 1 Diabetes that decided to play. His whole life has basically been one story after another of things that he's overcome."

Oklahoma Athletics mourns the loss of Ryan Minor, a two-sport Sooner great.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Ryan’s family.
May he rest in peace ❤️🤍

So, going by the logic that I heard some people use this summer…should OSU let OU win this weekend so both go to Arlington? It would be better for the state…
Anybody who thinks
@MarkJonesESPN
and
@DustyDvoracek
were biased in any way towards VT is clueless. The “high five” was a small example of the enthusiasm with which they work. I know Dusty, and I’ve watched Mark for more than 25 years. They’re pros...and they’re really good.
Just saw something incredible. Tony Gwynn had 270 plate appearances against Greg Maddux, John Smoltz, and Tom Glavine.
He hit .394.
He struck out 3 times.
June 20th will always be a day to celebrate and to reflect. My niece Brooklyn is 2 today and I love her to the moon. It’s also been 6 years since we lost my mentor and the reason I have a job
@sportsanimal
, Bob Barry, Jr. We’re celebrating Brookie and remembering Bobby today.
Hard time of year for a lot of folks. National Suicide Prevention Lifeline 1-800-273-8255. A simple copy and paste might save someone's life.
Would 3 Twitter friends please copy this text and post under their own name? Pass it on.....
Awful play by Rattler. Had Mims right away, then could’ve ran and at least gotten close. Instead throws to Stogner who wasn’t even ready, same as on the pick. I’ve resisted calling for a change, but maybe it’s what they need.
Fantastic work by
@joe_mussatto
as always. I’m eternally grateful for what Craig has done for me, and I’m a better person for being around him.

There are 50 states, and we named the best college football player in each one of them at

Here's a taste.
Alabama: Bo Jackson
Georgia: Cam Newton
Florida: Tim Tebow
Ohio: Archie Griffin
Texas: Vince Young
Oklahoma: Sam Bradford.
Very grateful for
@Tyler_McComas
writing such a wonderful story. Three things I hope shine through: I love my family more than I can possibly express, I’m very, very blessed with the work I have at both places, there’s no substitute for effort.
Tough one today. First Mother’s Day without mom and yesterday was mom and dad’s 45th anniversary. Please remember our family today, and please don’t take time with your mom for granted.
Chris Fowler killed it this morning. “Results have to matter...if the best thing you can say is you played Alabama tough, that’s not good enough.” Bravo.
If you live in the Oklahoma City area, pay close attention...if the mere sight of water falling from the sky or water on the road causes you to forget how to drive, do everyone a favor...STAY HOME. This city has lost it’s mind.
Over the last two seasons, Texas has lost five games when leading in the fourth quarter. That’s the most losses in the entire FBS. They’ve lost three straight games, and they’ve led in the fourth quarter in each.
Do I just not understand this All Gas No Brakes thing, or…?
I’ll say it again, since it made so many people upset, if OU plays like they did today, they may need to reevaluate their goals for the season. Do I believe they’ll play better? Yes…but if they don’t, it’s going to be a very rough year. That’s not an overreaction, that’s truth.
I’ve stirred it up on Twitter before, but nothing has brought more people out of the woodwork like showing proof I’ve been vaccinated. I respect everyone’s opinions. Me believing it’s the right thing to do for me is not an affront to your being.
So sad to share my boy Jack went over the rainbow bridge today. I won’t get the chance to sneak him bites of the holiday ham anymore. I’ll sure miss him running to the door when we get to Nana’s. Pouring one out for you pal, with the Daredevils in the background.

Tough one today. One year ago today was the last day Mom spent time outside of the hospital. Four days later she was in front of Almighty God. What a sight that will be...but we miss her still. Hug your loved ones tight. I'd do anything to hug Mom one more time.
You were the first dog in our home. Landry’s first dog. We couldn’t have asked for a better companion. I’ll miss all the walks, food, and belly rubs we shared. No more pain now Duke boy. All dogs go to Heaven. Say hi to mom for me. She’s waiting for you.
This is your daily reminder that the Major League leader in HR’s (40 of em) is a starting pitcher with a 2.79 ERA. Shohei Ohtani is unlike any baseball player that we’ve seen in five generations.
Just felt that needed to be said.
Happy birthday to my wonderful son Landry. Can’t believe you’re 10! I’m so proud of you and all the things you overcome on a daily basis. Mommy and daddy love you!
What a moment for Jaylen. Imagine doing something in life, maybe getting to do it for a living, and getting to meet the greatest ever to do that something.
Legendary Career, Dad. You always did things the right way. You’re the best role model anyone could ask for.
Hope to see you (and mom) on the golf course sometime. I Love You! We All Love You!
You know, I would ask why doesn’t this clown focus on his job and not his political ambitions…but as a parent of a public school student, the last thing I want is him to focus on his job.
Bob Stoops just told
@markrsports
on
@sportsanimal
that he is not a candidate at Florida. Hope everyone in Gainesville heard that. Save y’all some heartache and embarrassment.
One of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen on a football field. It’s why, among many other reasons, he’s my favorite player, maybe with the exception of Emmitt.
@DustyDvoracek
Missing my mentor Bob Jr. today. Five years ago he was taken from us senselessly. Thinking about the wonderful family he left behind, and looking forward to seeing him again some day. Say hey to the Legend for me Bobby.
Landry loves the retro video game systems. Santa brought Landry a Super Nintendo with a bunch of games already loaded on it. We were scrolling through the games and the original NBA JAM is one of them. If you don’t hear from me for a while, don’t worry, I’m just fine.
That’s three times this joker has called a first down when the offense didn’t pick it up…plus the time when they didn’t know OU picked up a first down. Good grief.
I don’t ever, EVER want to hear QBR mentioned around me ever again. Prescott last night was 21-26, 238 yds, 3 TD 0 INT and in complete control. His QBR, on a scale of 0-100? 37.8. What a ridiculous, nonsensical stat. The fact that it’s included in box scores is laughable.
Rest in paradise former Sooner, Denver Bronco, and Kansas City Chief Darius Johnson. Fourth round pick in 1996 from Terrell, TX and two time Super Bowl champion. If you know any of his teammates, hit them up. Lot of sad folks today.
I love it when you’re getting your temperature taken and it smells like the nurse used Marlboro hand lotion as she puts the thermometer in your mouth. Enjoyable.
I just went outside to check the mail, and I didn’t want to come back in. For all my friends who don’t like the weather today and tomorrow...do you remember ten years ago today?
I cannot believe we live in a world in which an extra inning of a Major League Baseball game starts with a runner on second base. Or that the 8th inning of a Major League Baseball game could be an extra inning. Laughable and embarrassing.
Today in 1982, Jim Rice goes into the stands to aid a 4-year-old boy who was struck by a line drive. After emergency surgery and five days in the hospital, the child goes on to make a full recovery. To this day, his family believes Jim Rice saved his life.
All dogs go to Heaven. My boy Wally is there now. Mom and Dad’s house won’t be the same. Your momma misses you like crazy. So does your big cousin Duke. Until we meet again ol boy.
Unless I missed it, I haven’t seen
@CBSSports
pay tribute to Billy Tubbs on the broadcast today. Perfect example of the lack of respect Coach gets. Of course they referenced the ‘88 title game, but nothing specific about Billy. What a fail.
Four months without mom today. Hasn’t got any easier. She’d be so proud of the progress Landry has made, Gracelyn starting Kindergarten, and Brooklyn’s sweet face. Her time of year is coming…fall and football. Going to be really different. Treasure your time with family.
Well would you look at that. A university appreciative enough of Coach Tubbs to put his name on the court and not want anything in return. What an idea.
My son went to bed tonight watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The movie. The original movie. The one I watched when I was 8 years old, released March 30, 1990. This is one of the proudest nights of my life.
I cannot believe what I’m seeing in D.C. today. I don’t care what side of the aisle you’re on. There shouldn’t even be an “aisle.” That’s the biggest problem. This is disgraceful. It’s insanity. God help us, please.
20 years. Walking out of the Communications building at UCO, it was the first time ever that I looked up at the sky and wondered if we were really safe. When I got home, mom called because she needed to hear her son’s voice. Freedom and safety isn’t free. Thank a veteran today.
