We are pleased to release our Bluevale Community Club & Partners 2025 Winter timetable full of a large variety of different clubs & activities for all ages 7 days a week 🤩 These clubs and activities are spread across our 3 centres (Bluevale Community Centre, Reidvale Neighbourhood Centre & Bluevale Fitness) covering Dennistoun & Haghill 🌟 The majority of these clubs and activities are free to attend, for more info or to join any please send us a private message or email liam@bluevale.cc ❤️

As part of Time To Talk Day 2025 Bluevale in partnership with the NHS Health Improvement Team have been interviewing some of our service users over the course of last week to discuss the importance of mental health and talking to someone when you’re feeling down 🌟 With our brand new camera and filming equipment we have created a short video of our service users talking about the importance of this 🥰 It’s great for us as a local community organisation to be able to put on community activities to help improve mental & physical health 🧠💪 The video which was filmed in both the Bluevale and Reidvale Neighbourhood Centre’s shows the impact that the wrap around support from the two centres has on the local community ❤️

We are pleased to announce that we will be holding a FREE Reidvale Valentine’s Day Disco on Friday 14th February 2025 for kids aged 5-11 years old 🥰 This will take place in our function suite at The Reidvale Neighbourhood Centre, 13 Whitevale Street, G31 1QW from 4pm until 5:30pm 🌟 Due to the popularity of our Reidvale Disco’s and limited spaces available we will be running a ballot for this, the ballot registration will close on Wednesday 12th February 🗳️ If you’d like to enter your child into the ballot for this disco please send us a private message or email liam@bluevale.cc 📩

Our FREE Play Together On Pedals sessions have been going well recently with a good amount of children coming along and starting to learn how to ride a bike 🚲 These sessions run every Saturday from 11am until 12pm at 30 Abernethy Street for 3-6 year olds, children are assisted with their learning by parents/carers as well as our trained instructors 🌟 We provide a balance bike/pedal bike and a helmet for the sessions as well 🤩 If you’d like to sign up your child for these sessions please send us a private message or email liam@bluevale.cc 📩 Thanks to @GlasgowCC & @TNLComFundScot for funding these sessions ❤️

We are pleased to announce that we will be back open as normal tomorrow (Saturday 25th January) with our services returning to normal 🤩 This includes our Play Together On Pedals club which is also running as normal and is indoors so no need to worry about the cold 🌟 Rewind Cafe @ The Reidvale Neighbourhood Centre will be open from 9am until 3pm with delivery also available through Just Eat 😋 Bluevale Fitness will be running their normal Saturday classes (including reformer Pilates) with some addition classes added for tomorrow only ❤️

Due to tomorrow’s (Friday 24th January) Red Weather Warning and police advice not to travel we have had to make the hard decision to cancel all clubs & services. All 3 facilities (Bluevale Fitness, Bluevale Community Centre & The Reidvale Neighbourhood Centre) will also be closed. This includes Rewind Cafe. Bluevale Fitness will close from 8:30am and will be keeping members updated on the situation regarding evening classes during the day tomorrow via their Instagram page. Our staff will still be on hand if anyone needs to contact us, if anyone who is vulnerable or elderly and is stuck in the house need any help tomorrow please also contact us. We plan for services to return to normal from Saturday 25th January. For all the latest information on the red weather warning please refer to Met Office, Police Scotland, Glasgow City Council and other relevant authorities.

Both our cooking class and our prize bingo & games club returned this week with members of the local community attending and meeting new people 😊 At our cooking class, Ready Steady Cook, we learned to make spaghetti bolognese which was absolutely delicious 😋 While at our bingo everyone got a good catch up over some tea & coffee while having fun playing along to win some prizes 🎁 Our FREE cooking class runs every Tuesday from 5:30pm until 7pm in The Reidvale Neighbourhood Centre, 13 Whitevale Street, G31 1QW 🧑‍🍳👩‍🍳👨‍🍳 While our prize bingo & games runs every Wednesday from 12pm until 2pm also in The Reidvale Neighbourhood Centre, 13 Whitevale Street, G31 1QW with this costing £1 per game to cover cost of prizes 😄 If you’d like to come along to our cooking class please send us a private message or email vicky@bluevale.cc to book, for our bingo you can just come along ❤️

Our FREE youth clubs for 11+ and 12+ both returned this week with loads of young people attending and having fun 😃 At our Monday youth club in The Bluevale Community Centre we done gaming, indoor football and opened our chill out room ⚽️ For Thursdays youth club in The Reidvale Neighbourhood Centre we played free prize bingo as well as darts, pool, table tennis and gaming 🎯 At Friday’s youth club in The Bluevale Community Centre we done gaming, indoor football and Kahoot quizzes with loads of different topics 🎮 Our youth club for age 11+ runs every Monday & Friday from 6pm until 8pm at 30 Abernethy Street while our youth club for age 12+ is every Thursday from 6pm until 8pm at 13 Whitevale Street 🌟 These clubs are free to attend, to register just send us a private message or email liam@bluevale.cc 📩 Thanks to @GlasgowCC, @TNLComFundScot & @SC_LotteryTrust for funding our kids and youth activities ❤️

We will be running a BRAND NEW club on Tuesdays for adults aged 16+ called Kick About where people can come along for a football sidey ⚽️ This club is completely FREE to attend and will be a great way to meet new people while looking after mental well-being with all abilities welcome to attend 🤩 It will run every Tuesday from 5pm until 6pm at Whitehill Secondary’s Astro pitch, if you’d like to attend just come along 😄 Our community football club for under 16s will continue to run as normal on the other 7 a-side pitches ❤️

We are pleased to announce that our boxing club, Bluevale Boxing Club, will be travelling to Portugal in April to participate in the Porto Box Cup 2025 ✈️🥊🇵🇹🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 This is a great opportunity for all the young people involved and will be a first experience of international competition for the majority of the young people. It will also be the first time our boxing club has travelled outwith the UK & Ireland 🤩 With boxing clubs from all around the world attending including clubs from England, Wales, Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Azerbaijan, Ghana and more it’s sure to be a great trip 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇮🇪🇫🇷🇪🇸🇵🇹🇨🇭🇳🇱🇧🇪🇦🇿🇬🇭

A reminder that our FREE Play Together On Pedals class for 3-6 year olds starts back this weekend in The Bluevale Community Centre at 30 Abernethy Street, G31 3SZ 🚲 This is a great way for toddlers and younger children to learn how to ride a bike, the class is led by qualified instructors with parents/guardians assisting their children throughout 😄 This class takes place every Saturday from 11am until 12pm 🌟 We provide a balance bike and helmet for the sessions as well as a pedal bike once children are ready to learn to pedal 😊 If you’d like to register your child for this class please send us a private message or email liam@bluevale.cc 📩

On Friday night we took over 40 young people on a FREE trip to the @IrnBruCarnival as part of our winter trips which we have been running throughout December and January 🎢🎡 All young people had loads of fun going on all the different rides and playing all the different fairground games to try and win prizes 🤩 Thanks to @CashforKidsWest for funding this trip ❤️
