@retardedfed @Liberty4TheKids Actually the money is already there but if you read my points above you’d see Abbott holds it hostage and is purposely twisting his facts and stats to spin his story.

Let’s go thru them: -STATE funding is $6160. %3840 less than a voucher. You’re adding in local & federal -true but not reported to TEA so no accountability -lie, the lack of certified hires is technically illegal & only necessary because of emergency conditions -BS, publics accept every kids in their zone, including kids in wheelchairs, homeless, illegals etc -LOL everything in privates costs extra. Some charge $500/sport. Vouchers won’t cover extras in most cases -they can raise tuition for all students -vouchers will be available to 0.04-1.8% of public school kids -your own LBB actuarial report states that vouchers may destroy TRS. ABBOTTS OWN REPORT! -basic state allotment has remained stagnant at $6160 since 2019. Any increases have come from local or Fed -article 3, section 10. State will not subsidize private entities -just dumb. Your fact didn’t refute the reality -again, your fact doesn’t address that every kid that leaves a public takes the allotment away Haven’t had time to address this really nice meme. Gregg Abbott is a globalist and looking for kick backs.

Dont put up a bad headline no one will bother to research. I worked in Fort Worth ISD. Many years ago they went after making a bunch of schools and now they are consolidating the extras. You’re being disingenuous. But while we are talking about being disingenuous let’s talk about Abbotts own words and don’t worry I did all the research. Let’s go thru them: -STATE funding is $6160. %3840 less than a voucher. @ValeriaGurr Can you explain the discrepancy with what Abbott is saying and the actual truth? Is this an example of straight lying or is this what people call “political truths?”

We have the fallacy that money fixes everything. Incentives for people to open private schools to get your children’s money is not the kind of education you want. What exactly does this voucher system provide besides government getting to register and hold accountable the money they give out (that’s only how it starts it always grows)? You can move your kid to a different school right now. You can homeschool, private, charter school, magnet school, co-op hybrid school. WHAT choice are you getting out of this? Here’s another set of data for you to ponder Don’t worry I did all the digging. @DebbieAndrle @GregAbbott_TX Yes and vouchers aren’t gonna fix that. Support public school properly will. Not bloated government agency’s

Also decrease support staff and counselors and other things necessary to education. Discipline. Strong parenting. Doing the right thing. That’s what’s missing not another government backed program that just expands government and increases taxes and hurts the bottom kids all in the same fell swoop.
