#Heatwave scorched, the @BlenheimPalace landscape has revealed the outlines of the lost formal gardens, laid out by Henry Wise in 1705. Originally covering 70 acres, the parterres and basins of the Military Garden have not been seen since Capability Brown's redesign in the 1760s!

Today marks the anniversary of the start of WWI. In 1914 @BlenheimPalace became a convalescent hospital, ruled over by the indomitable Sister Munn. A large number of men from the estate also served on the front lines. To all of those men and women, we will be eternally grateful.

Our deep clean has briefly reunited Queen Anne and her old favourite Sarah, 1st Duchess of Marlborough. Along with these two, we've 40 busts and sculptures, 28 marble tables, 10000 books, 18 clocks, 38 pieces of armour and 200 items of porcelain to clean! .
