Protestantism over the centuries has drifted towards Gnosticism. It refuses that matter, things in earth are essential for our salvation. 1) water for our new birth in Christ. 2) bread and wine to consume the Body and Blood of Christ in the Eucharist. 3) anointing oil for healing. 4) laying on of hands for Apostolic succession. 5) works that complete our faith. It’s a hybrid Christian faith.
