Perfect example of what I meant. MJ/Kobe/Keem did this all the time. Playing the hip and initiating contact is a no-go. It's just basketball.
@BlaccTarantino_ If you play the hip, I power back down. If your strength isn't high enough to combat HoF Backdown punisher, you'll get moved. And if I throw in a shimmy fade afterwards, you'll likely get stunned by HoF Dream shake. I'll be open, and if you jump, I'll step through. Chess game.

This is mainly the reason why up & unders/step throughs work. If you at least show them you're willing to shoot it, AND you make it, they have to respect it the next time around, which leaves them vulnerable to a fake and/or foul with an up&under. Basic basketball. It won't work

First it was "Try that in stage". I did that. Then it was "Try that against a good lock". I did that. But NOBODY is a "good lock" if I score on them. Then it was "Try that in ProAm". I'm averaging nearly 30 points on almost 70% shooting. Now it's "Try that against the top 1%.

Protect the ball people. I'm not a Lock, but try and utilize L2, or simply keep the ball away from them if you don't have high ball handle or Unpluckable high enough. Adjust to the 1st couple of weeks, and don't try and get people patched off rip when it comes to steals and.

It's a certain level of respect you have for someone who plays on-ball defense. Even if they get cooked or not good at it. You can at least respect them for guarding the opposing player.
