If anybody is asking, it's Girls' Frontline 2. Global release is TBA with KR already announced. I recommend at least experiencing the story of the first game before global arrives.

People said GFL2 might be xcom-like and I can't wait and I need experience. So decided make some prototype. A lot of the code is modified, but slowly reformatting it to fit my needs. Very shoddy right now. Trying to focus on basics.

Going to do Mica a favor. Please check this singleplayer no MTX game. It's only $25 and it has around 100hrs of content. I prefer the combat of this game than GFL2.

Aside from a few small errors. I modelled Mitsurugi Meiya in her Flight Jacket. This version is more towards the anime with additional reference from VN sprites.

If you want something very close to xcom but with fire emblem mission structure, go play Reverse Collapse. Further in the timeline, but standalone with prereq needed. Also entirely singeplayer.

Something like this? Typical its just 2x feels sluggish to play at and 1x takes ages. But I get what you mean. Some of these maps take more than 30mins at times even at 3x speeds.

M4A1 model has been in the works for a long time. Texturing and a few tweaks are all that's left of it. A lot of materials right now. I'll atlas it after the textures. My only concern is the actual atlasing part.

You can read through interpreter or watch the series through shoul on youtube. More recent events have SFX and sudden music changes that really add the experience so vid is better. Chapter 1-6 is pretty trash but really short. Story ramps up in singularity

I used an initial illustration as inspiration. I tried to deviate but it seems that was not enough. I would like to issues refunds but I don't know how to process them through booth. I will be thinking about the next steps of what to do. I blame my laziness for causing the fault.

I would like to explain the vibe of the game, but I think the resident lore guy does it better.
Threw together this video for YouTube on a whim, just for fun. GFL2 loading screen lore snippets gave me the idea for a full Girls Frontline game with many CGs and snippets interspersed.

Sometimes miracles can happen. It was pretty bad in CBT and OBT. First few months were pretty rough with none existent event story content but everything else was somewhat competent. I imagine all the features that they envision or are least a lot of QOL would come to global.

Unsure if I'll finish this. Need to block out more. I usually just focus on the body and just put on clothing but it doesn't really work that well. I should probably practice more with poses that have clothing on them. I don't like doing them cause I want to get good at figures.

I think I have main features of the character down. I still have yet to design clothing hence just a plain shirt. I just wanted do something and not spend another week to make a jacket then realize I have to redo the proportions of the character (I literally just did that.)

Hmmm, I think its maybe ready? I've optimized it under 70k, but the dynamic bones on the jacket makes it poor but oh well. Though, I feel the jacket is poor in form.

I like to say I'm almost done, but like I've literally doubled my shape key count and making so many expressions. I also feel like I want to model more clothes since the skirt the skirt works for like 80% of the time. I might just call it done soon.

A friend was asking how long GFL2 dailies would take. I'd say this long + 1 min depending if there's some resource rate up event or something else. Also they are changing PVP so no idea what newer patches might look like.

After fixing some issues (and also some troubling ones), I can slowdown time now and not have it mostly break. If I suddenly change time, there's issues with the delta time being so low it causes a sudden spike in velocity.

Guess this is acceptable, even though its just PBR slightly changed with an outline. Will need to implement more stuff later. Wished shader graph worked a lot better so I didn't have to code all these by hand in URP.
