Year 3 had a fantastic Greek Day today with Jess from @TPPltd. They got dressed up, they performed a play, they re-enacted a battle and even performed in their very own Olympics! The children had a fantastic time and were so engaged in all of the activities!

3D shared all their Ancient Greece history knowledge in their assembly Greek's Got Talent this morning. The audience loved it! Well done 3D! 🤩

Today's Forest ranger learning in Year 4 included learning how to use tarpaulins, ropes and knots, creating tiny tea parties using natural materials and learning how to use a set of loppers and some brace drill.🌳

Year 3 enjoyed exploring different historical sources today in history to learn more about the Ancient Greek's Gods and Goddesses. 💪

More Chinese New Year fun in reception! #ChineseNewYear2025

Reception have enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year at school today. We have worn bright clothes, made masks, built temples, practised Chinese writing and tried some Chinese foods - we had lots of fun! #ChineseNewYear2025

The choir had an absolutely amazing time at Young Voices last night singing their hearts out in unison with other schools! @YVconcerts

Well done to all of our children who took part in the cross country race on Wednesday. It was their first time taking part in a race of this kind and in the cold and difficult conditions, they demonstrated fantastic resilience enthusiasm and team spirit! 🏃🏻‍♀️ 🏃

Year 5 learnt about the planets, stars and the upcoming Artemis missions in their Planetarium workshop on Friday. They were then lucky enough to have lots of questions answered by our visitor.⭐️🌎

Sianna and Imani, two of our wonderful Year 6 librarians, kindly offered to read a chapter or two of Demon Dentist to class 3D today. How lovely to see our older children supporting the younger children with developing a love of reading! 📚

The football team were successful again yesterday and will now go on to play the national finals - representing WBA in their kit – against teams from around the country! We are so proud of you boys showing such excellence in your sport! ⚽️

Wonderful news yesterday, as our Year 6 football team triumphed in the first round tournament of the EFL Kids Cup. The boys performed brilliantly and came out 1-0 winners to send us to the second round of the tournament in a week's time! @EFL ⚽️

Year 2 had a fantastic time at Selly Manor Museum yesterday! The trip was a great opportunity for them to learn more about The Great Fire of London! 🔥 The children especially enjoyed the dressing up! @Selly_Manor

This morning Year 6 had visitors from Natwest bank. They took part in a workshop about fraud and became investigators. They had to analyse a range of evidence to work out how someone's identity had been stolen!

This week in Year 4, we also analysed data from an online survey sent to our parents about the use of solar panels. We created our own bar graphs to show the data more clearly and discussed some of the barriers that people had to installing solar panels on their homes.☀️

In art, Year 4 have been focusing on using a variety of materials to create a collage. The design brief was to create their own collage of  the Grand Canyon. They had to use different materials, use different techniques and modify as they went along. Well done Year 4!
