Im not talking about romance here and them wanting to be friend is canon too Ofc marvel decided to take another path for Yelena, their paths are too different now so I doubt they will develop their friendship but if it had happened it would make sense
Sorry but its not delusion to think Kate could help Yelena get out of her dark place In Hawkeye she was full of rage and grief and yet in the few moments she spend with Kate she smiled,laughed and even questioned herself a bit She need a friend from outside her dark world
