UPDATE: A nine-year-old boy has sadly died following an incident on a football field shortly after 5.05pm today. Although enquiries are still ongoing, we believe the boy was struck by lightning. Our thoughts are with the boy's family at this sad time. School Road has reopened.

👉 Four police officers saved a woman's life after she was found in the sea at North Pier, Blackpool at 12.05am today.
Two of them waded into the water to bring her on to the beach, with two others performing life-saving first-aid as her condition deteriorated.

Yesterday we discovered a large cannabis factory worth between an estimated £3-4m at an industrial unit on the Squires Gate Industrial Estate, Blackpool. Inside, officers found over 30 tents containing over 500 cannabis plants. Three arrests were made.
