@SuppaHotFire @TimSweeneyEpic The last time I was in Death Valley and we broke something, we had to drive 80 miles to get service to call the parts store to see if they had it. It was awesome People being able to reach or find me when I don’t want to is not an option.

@Fat_Electrician Yes, because people cannot collect Social Security from when they’re 1 year year old. Lol you had to be 65 to claim it when it was first instituted 150-65= 85 years old Social Security has existed for 90 years.

@nicksortor @DefiyantlyFree we don’t have a great group of Republicans when it comes to pushing back. They write lots of letters though

@WesternLensman why do you think Dana Bash did not call out that Kristi is not elected either and that everyone should be terrified of her having access to the data? 😉

Are you guys familiar with cost–plus bidding? That’s where a company makes a bid for say $5 billion but along the way they miss their milestones and things start to take more time in increasing the costs. The government ALSO guarantees a set profit on those contracts. I’m not entirely sure but I think it’s around 10% being fairly common. Just about every military bid is cost-plus. and I won’t be surprised to learn most of the government might work that way. Worse than that, if somebody’s a buddy with somebody (or someone thinks they are worth saving for some reason) and their business is struggling, the government will frequently award them the contract instead of somebody else. SpaceX refuses to do that. They bid a dollar amount and that’s the cost. If they can’t run their own business and they screw up the bid then they eat the difference. Pretty much like every small business in America. There was a case a few years ago were SpaceX sued because they had the low bid but the government awarded a struggling competing company the contract. SpaceX won that in court. I would like to see our government move to straight bidding, and put a halt to the cronyism. What do you guys think?
