What do you think will happen to the USD if they put all the txn on chain? No other country will ever be that transparent. And On top of the tariffs , fiscal and foreign aid cuts. The USD will be a black hole and suck all the liquidity from global markets and every world currency will have meltdown so net export countries owning gold may be the only thing holding up their currencies.

Publicly traded Gold tokens today are on public chains like Ethereum which is run by a small group of consortium developers. There is currently two types of popular chain ..proof of work proof of stake. Gold tokens run on POS which is EVMs that validate the txn. Are the Chinese ok with a public chain? Or they want their own private chain which is basically a database ledger.

And say we go back to gold backed paper or some of token. you still need 3rd party intermediate to confirm audit or we going to take their word and trust the Chinese Russian gold? Theres already interbank $ txn moving trillions today so having gold as your base reserve does what other than central banks and govt telling each other “trust me bro” I good for it. Yep let’s start Bretton woods Nixon shock all over again

@Zrada1234 @LukeGromen @mark54321 It took 5 years for Germans to repatriate their gold reserves from nyfed …I could only imagine global txn that settle today at the speed of light would look like with gold as reserve

There is $65-70T with a T of offshore dollar denominated foreign debt that countries owe each other from all the shadow banking. World can’t print dollars so the more world dumps UST which drive up rates it also means these export countries that need cash flow and dollar liquidity funding rates will go up as well or lend in their own currencies which would put pressure on their currencies vs usd. So all roads lead back to US.
