Congratulations to our BME 2023 Distinguished Engineer Brian Smith, Ph.D. Dr. Smith was the first African-American to earn a doctorate in biomedical engineering from Wayne State. He currently serves as president and CEO of the Tuskegee Airmen National Museum.
