my single issue would be that our community needs someone who doesn't have perfect pitch and a college degree in acoustic theory to lecture on the nature of waves but instead a normal who can simply explain how to raise up your larynx. it's not as big a deal as all that!

i would also add that i, personally, have a degree in music, studio recording, acoustics and music theory. i completely understand all the technical stuff she is lecturing about. it's academically interesting but in no way helped me even a little bit and actually got in the way.

my best advise to early transitioners is to be wary of the kind of people who are significantly further along in their transition and enthusiastic for community but don't seem to have many friends who are as far along as them or that seem bitter. this is THE red flag.
