I introduced the couple getting married on the Pulp artwork. (It's a real wedding, Teddington.
Dom I knew from work, Sharon from my local in Egham. They both came to my club night in Ldn. "You two have something in common, I'll get you a drink while u work it out". /1

There's LOADS of examples of Tich ABSOLUTELY NOT HAVING the switch to the 'Sound of Young Scotland' look and sticking STEADFASTLY to the junior Banshees look
(They had the same surname). I was sposed to be at the wedding but I had shingles.
They're still going strong, I saw them at my last summer artsale ♡♡

When I was in my early 20s the band I drummed for supported Inspiral Carpets at a launch show for 'Joe'. During our soundcheck our guitarist broke three strings. Being poor, un prepared and skint we had no replacements...
Jocelyn Bell Burnell, co-discoverer of pulsars shares a birthday today with the late, great Ian Curtis. The specific pulsar she discovered is this one...
#joydivision
. Happy birthday Jocelyn!
Geordie, R.I.P. Killing Joke are a vital band. A one-off musician, what a sound.
One of my first gigs: fibbing to parents, one of those Sunday nights at The Lyceum. 1981. I was 15. Doing stuff from the 2nd album, which I'd not heard. I fucking shat myself with fear.
My next "Billy Reeves, my life in Britpop" story will be "what Lauren Laverne used to do with your change if you gave her £20 to get a round in". Or perhaps I'll tell you when I see you. /5

Matt Benham stopped and said hello to me today. Blew other radio reporters away, that. As far away from a typical EPL owner as it gets. What a nice chap.
Is there any pop song in history where the singer puts SO much effort and PASSION into a totally inconsequential word as George Michael does with the "BAY BEHR" in 'Faith' immediately after the first chorus? It's one of my favourite moments in pop history.
Thank you for all the messages. It's difficult to express the gulf in class today, unless you were there. 4 nil was about right. We are a really good side with tenacity, intelligence, good management, ideas. Everything ManU lack, in fact.
Tomorrow is the final

show (in current format). I love Gid like a brother and I will be glued to the next chapter of his talking on the radio, playing records, and being a legend.
I was asked by The Bluebells to support them at their first London show since 1988.
Being a total tyre-kicker as a musician, I am incredibly proud of this image, cos here I am in exhaulted company.
Me, Bobby Bluebell, Helen O'Hara, Ken McClusky, Gavin Laird and James Grant. Cool.
theaudience album as a deluxe double vinyl with a side of ultra-rarities is in record shops now. Thanks to
@LNFGlasgow
for their hard work tracing the DATs and re-creating the sleeve etc. Looks good in kitchens.

"Was actually in East Molesey and my brother went to Uni with the photographer. All other elements true though x"
I have had a massive bang on the head...!!!
See you on the 30th June, hope you dig your pic.... ♡♡♡♡
Olympiacos for Sergi according to reports. Will always be a Bees legend. Part of our journey. He's 25 and wants to play, who can blame him. A passionate footballer, helpful, and a lovely chap.
Props to the way

communicate with the fans as the sight of their number 43 on the sidelines/off the bench stirs huge noise/applause. Star of the B-team making his debut and a large majority of the crowd knew exactly who he is
"Ivan was on it today. He deserves a lot of praise"
"The goal celebration; the players planned it. For that alone I'm glad the goal stood. Call your Mum and tell her you love her"

Hats off to Stan.
I met him once, when I was (clang) backstage DJ for Oasis at Earls Court in a bedouin tent. We had a chat about Mickie Most, Suzi Quatro and Mud. He was a great player for Rangers and for us too and a total one off. God rest his soul.
My favourite moment of the p-off final: 2 mins or so to go. We're 2 up, v 10 men. Ivan tackles back in LB pos. Guy in front of me tries to get "WE ARE GOING UP" going. Guy in front of him turned 'round and yelled "IT'S TOO EARLY!"

Brentford twitter has been so lovely tonight. At a moment on time when I'm so angry and grieving, today, when the narrative has been taken from us Bees, has been a day of wist and joy. This guy is my favourite ever Bee. Don't @ me. I've got something in my eye, OK
Farewell GP. Home of many of my fondest footballing memories and helped me rediscover my love for the game. Thankyou ⚽️ ❤.

the guy took all the strings off, polished the bare bridge, put 6 new ones on with one of those machine-head spanners, pulled them all in his fist, tightened them and tuned them with a proper tuner
and handed the guitar back, quietly and efficiently, to our guitarist...
Back from the BCS.
Ben Mee is the biggest bargain since 'Pillows and Prayers'. Ethan Pinnock for England. Matty Jensen is the best footballer in the history of the Premier League.
I'm in THE CHARTS.
The independent chart, obvs, cos I'm cool. I am an indie "breaker". I am 57. Thanks
@LNFGlasgow
and all my chums what played on this LP ♡♡♡♡

Clint said "no worries, we have some and their guitar tech was dispatched to a pew between bar and stage. I remember it well because it was the first time I'd seen a pro re-string a guitar:
I worked at this game for BBC Radio London in my first full season as a football reporter. Followed the Bees to over 80 grounds. Did lockdown games too and a season in the Prem. What a trip, what a privilege.
Fondly remembering my colleague Charlie Gillet today. Reponsible for so many great things in radio and music criticism. Multi-award winning, including a Sony for Mavis Staples special which I produced and edited. Meeting Mavis and working with Charlie was a career highlight.
