Bitcoin does nothing. It does 4 very important nothings: 1) Appreciates savings Bitcoin is the best-performing asset ever. No savings vehicle has ever returned the saver such astronomical returns. 2) Global commerce Bitcoin trades efficiently across time and space. It opens up commerce to the unbanked, which happens to do nothing for 40% of the planet. 3) Censorship resistant Bitcoin is resistant to corrupt authoritarian regimes. It creates true financial freedom. It is unfazed by oppression. Your country freezes your bank account for your ethnicity, religion, speech, vaccine status? Bitcoin will in fact do nothing to help you. 4) Upgrades grid Bitcoin allows humanity to harness otherwise wasted and polluting energy and monetize it. Bitcoin mining allows humanity to capture every joule of energy on the planet. It does nothing to help us reach a Kardashev Type I civilization. Clearly, Bitcoin does nothing.
