The reason some people hold ridiculous positions that make no sense, is because it grabs your attention. Since 2015, these ridiculous people (RPs) have simply used the tactics of the annoying kid in your 3rd grade class, and of online trolls (same thing). The goal is not for RPs to have their ridiculous position rule the day. Their goal is to engage you. Lonely hall monitors who never get invited to the party suddenly have your attention. You respond with reason, convinced that another human being will understand logic. They then must respond with more ridiculousness in order to keep you engaged. I call it "intimacy through injury." Injury makes a faster intimate connection than love and respect and logic. The only way to deal with RPs is starve them of the thing they want most: your attention. Do what reasonable people have done for decades prior-- laugh in their faces and move on. We've got shit to do.

If an X account with a fake name and some ridiculous avatar starts posting what appears to be deep-state liberal talking points designed to divide the MAGA crowd into divisive pieces, then it’s a propaganda account.
