Evacuation Order: Due to the Radford Fire, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department has issued an evacuation order for the following area:
Pine Knot South to Skyline Road (2N10) and from Knickerbocker West to Castle Rock.
Highway 18 thru Lucerne Valley is open. Travel in local mountains is suggested on an emergency basis only until roads can be cleared. Hwy 38, 330 and 18 up the front grade are closed. Residents with ID will not be let thru road closures. Check for updates.
Chains are required in local mountain communities! Make sure to have them in your vehicle, even when restrictions are not in effect. Winter weather conditions change rapidly. Be prepared! No parking on city streets in Big Bear during snow plow operations.

Yesterday at approx 6:45 pm we received a report of a missing woman Shelly Campa. An extensive check of the off-road trails in the area were conducted. At approx 2:45p.m. today, Aviation located Shelly’s car at Horse Thief Flats. She is reported to be dehydrated, but uninjured.
