Our first fact of the 2025! Lamplighters once lit Birmingham’s streets with gas lamps, or using a lighting stick to light the lamps from below. The Roundhouse served as a base for dedicated lamplighters. At its peak, Birmingham boasted around 35,000 gas lamps. #FridayFact
