I mean it’s true, the same way everyone felt bey deserved an album of the year award (despite my personal bias for black is king /bday, CC was The cultural juggernaut of the year) there’s no true seriousness or actual merit to any female rapper be awarded anything at that awards show while Nicki still gets shitted on. Because it’s OBVIOUSLY being done on purpose and really exposing how - despite Harvey’s pitiful speech about diversity in the Grammy voter block blah blah blah - grammys are bought and paid for, completely political and have ZERO to do with actual skill/cultural impact or anything. Super Happy bey got what she wanted, but still kind of let down that she had to get in cosplay and do a whole bunch of extra shit to be given her things . Because what does it mean at that point? What is it worth then?? Keep it a buck Nicki is the top person in rap regardless of Gender. Sure she does weird stuff but it’s nothing compared to the shit these men get away with.
