@xylota Thanks Ian. The photo was taken back in early September...I should have said. I'll enter on iRecord. Looking at the NBN distribution maps the nearest record to Elgin is between Forres and Nairn. :-)

Came across these small read galls(?) on what I think is a Birch leaf. They seemed to be common with one or more per leaf. The ants seemed to be interested in them. Any ideas what these might be? @britgalls Also a rather nice leaf mine.
