Vardar is located along the Tethyan Belt, a renowned metallogenic province which hosts a variety of significant deposits owned by both major and junior mining companies, including the Jadar deposit (Rio Tinto), the Stan Terg mine (Trepca), and the Timok Deposit (Zinjin).

Beowulf holds one of Europe's largest flake graphite deposits at Aitolampi with an Indicated & Inferred resource of 26.7Mt at 4.8% graphite for 1.275Mt of contained graphite. Test-work has demonstrated this can be upgraded to battery grade graphite at a purity of >99.95%.

Kallak's Scoping Study in 2023 showcased the exciting potential for the project to produce ~2.5M tonnes per annum of high-grade, low impurity iron ore. Untested potential adds exploration upside across Kallak North, Kallak South, and the Parkijaure licences.

In 2023, Sweden was the 10th highest installer of wind turbines in the world, with a total capacity of 16,252MW (source: @VisualCap). Kallak North holds a M&I resource of 111Mt at 28% iron and is well-positioned to help supply the raw materials required for wind turbines.

Raw steel production in 2023 was dominated by China. At 1 billion tonnes, it out-produced every other steel producing country combined (@VisualCap). #BEM's Kallak project is aiming to supply high quality iron ore for the EU's green steel industry.

The #battery sector is expected to grow in line with rising demand for electric vehicles and energy storage systems. @Benchmarkmin estimates the required investment into this sector to surpass $1.6tn by 2040, including $5bn in natural graphite and $43bn in anodes (@VisualCap).

In November @Grafintec received €232,000 of additional grant fund from @BusinessFinland, as part of the BATCircle3.0 consortium. The new project, 'Management and Valorisation of Waste Streams in the Coated Spherical Graphite Production Process', will support GAMP's development.

Vardar has the potential to be a new #European supplier of base metals required for the transition to a green economy. #Kosovo is ideally located to contribute to a #sustainable and secure supply for the region.
