There already is an Akira movie! Itโs almost a perfect adaptation and a wonder of animation and film making. The obsession with live action being a form of legitimate art over animation is so toxic and mind numbing it drives me insane.

This is why I have in my bio my clause about comission refunds. I am happy to refund a comission if for example, I become injured or incapacitated through sickness and I literally CANT do the comission. But if a client pays me, then changes theri mind that is not coverd.

We agree on half the payment for the colours up front, and I go into surgery for my throat the same day. This was the time stonetoss was reveled to be who he is so there were a lot of fun memes and posts going around about mr glands penis.

So I do the test page and its all good, but then out of the blue get told that my prices were in fact too high despite being agreed. But i would be kept on as a colourist. I did another test page that was paid for and the client was happy. So far so good.

This piece of fan art was a real turning point for me as an artist. I remember colouring in the little doll and thinking โI think this one is going to be okโ.
Vastly reducing details and focusing on a more blocky but still atmospheric style made me so much happier.
