״מַה טֹּבוּ אֹהָלֶיךָ יַעֲקֹב מִשְׁכְּנֹתֶיךָ יִשְׂרָאֵל״ בטקס מרגש קבענו מזוזה וחנכנו את בית הכנסת ��The Altneu״ בניו יורק, יחד עם שליח הנשיא טראמפ למזרח התיכון @SteveWitkoff, מנהיגים ואנשי הקהילה היהודית במנהטן. הבשורה על הקדמת שחרור חטופים מעוררת בכולנו תקווה, וכך גם ההחלטה על הארכת הפסקת האש בגבולנו עם לבנון. יחד עם הקהל הרב נשאנו תפילה לשלום המדינה, לביטחונם של חיילי צה"ל וכוחות הביטחון ולשחרורם של כל החטופות והחטופים מהשבי בעזה.

I’m not the biggest shul person — just ask my rabbi 😜 But tonight in Jerusalem, coming together in sacred intentionality feels important. It’s not gonna solve anything, or end the war. But our most sacred task in life is sometimes just to do the next right thing. שבת שלום 🤍

Thousands of Jews from the FSU, myself included, owe this giant of a man gratitude for their Jewish education & much more.
Albert Reichmann played a critical role in enabling the Refusenik revolution of the 70’s & 80’s and was perhaps the most prolific builder of Jewish life in the FSU in the 90’s. The 1000’s of children educated in the Shema Yisroel network of schools are his spiritual descendants.
