On my way back from work I stopped to say a quick hi to
@paddingtonbear
Thinking I was a tourist, a lovely woman offered to take a photo for me with him. I declined but she insisted, saying I’d regret it later if I missed the chance.
I politely accepted. I’m so glad I did 🐻😄
ABBA-solutely joyous 👏 🎶 💃 🪩
Went to
#ABBAVoyage
@ABBAVoyage
@ABBA
and it’s superb. The technology is incredible. The audience, a real mix of ages & backgrounds all singing & dancing. A big dose of much-needed joy after the last 2 years.
So I say… (you know the rest 😉)
As I go to bed tonight I can’t stop thinking about the Afghans who’ve suddenly had to flee their homes and don’t know where they’ll spend the night - and the Haitians whose homes are now rubble.
Sometimes it’s easy to take for granted the things that others lose in an instant 💔

Back after a mini getaway (plus self-imposed social media break) to reset & relax, while mostly listening to

My, my… how much has changed!
Last week I met
@Number10cat
properly at Downing Street. Would love to know the Chief Mouser’s thoughts on a day like this... comings, goings, new tenants, all the cameras... a good time to paws and reflect 🐾

Happy New Year to you all! 🎉🥂✨
Stepping out of the newsroom and into Christmas, for a couple of days off. I’ll be back on Boxing Day - with a bit of a surprise and some exciting news…
In the meantime - wishing you all a very Merry Christmas ❤️ 🌟🎄 xx
As a new runner since
#lockdown
, I’ve been advised that my
#running
technique is “unconventional”.
Apparently stopping for ice cream after 15 minutes then strolling home at a leisurely pace is not how it’s done.
Who knew? 🤷♂️
Very much looking forward to my week off… as much as I love my job, an occasional break from the intensity of it is important.
As any news freelancer will tell you, going away in August is not something we do lightly - and I know I’m fortunate that I can.
See you soon! 👋
Well, that’s my last scheduled shift before

So, here’s wishing you all a very happy, peaceful & healthy Christmas

I’ve been really touched by the incredibly warm response to this & the level of interest.
Had no idea the names/identity issue resonated so strongly with so many people. Loved reading all your experiences.
I’ll be on

When we report on something so horrific and violent, I hold on to the belief that at that very same moment there are many thousands more acts of goodness and kindness being done by people all over the world.
It’s the only way not to despair at the state of the world & humanity.

Contrary to (cheeky) enquiries from friends, this outfit does not herald a foray into country music.
My debut album - Smilin’ & Singin’ - remains a fantasy concept… much to the relief of all 😂
Just heard the woman across the aisle from me on the train say, with eager anticipation, “so, any news??”
I *almost* replied “yes, hello - here are the latest headlines.”
Then I realised she was FaceTiming her mother.
😬
Very much enjoyed making my debut in the big new Studio B last night - thanks to

The streets were still so empty that, at times, it felt like I had the greatest city in the world all to myself.
