There are many reasons we don’t have several standalone events on the schedule. Events for our national series require many standards and are inefficient for the industry. That doesn’t mean we haven’t tried and have been lucky enough to add new races like IRP and Milwaukee.

Had the opportunity to present Ron Silk the 1948 cup tonight. A 1 of 1 trophy inspired by the trophy of the first NASCAR Sanctioned race on Feb. 15, 1948 won by Red Byron on the Daytona Beach Course.

Great racing tonight. I’m a huge fan of short tracks & all of the tracks mentioned. K&N really displays it well. I wish adding them to the schedule was as easy as it sounds, but a lot of moving parts. We go to some great short tracks & doesn’t mean we won’t see more 1 day.

Well this was a fun week. For the first time in almost 6 years I had the chance to turn a few laps in the BKR late model. It took a few laps to knock off the rust but felt back at home after a few runs. Such a cool and missed experience.
