In the current financial restraints that Glasgow City faces, spending money on a jubilee celebration would in my opinion be crass, I want to direct every penny we can to helping with the cost of living crisis.
GCC’s shame : .Glasgow - the third largest city in the UK - no planned street party and they won’t even be lighting one of over 2000 beacons marking the occasion of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee across Britain. But they’ll happily enjoy the extra time off work. 🤬.
