For juniors out there trying to break in, it’s not on you. I’ve been doing this for over 10 years and have never seen the industry this bad. It’s not a reflection of your abilities. Please don’t beat yourself up. It’s just a bad time. You and your art are valuable and meaningful.

This month marks one year since my dad took his own life. He was a career pilot who flew all over the world doing all sorts of jobs. A true adventurer. But he was also an amazing artist in his own right. I’m lucky enough to have his sketchbooks. Hoping you’re resting easy dad. ❤️

The StellaStar logo is a 5 pointed star indicating each of the 5 sense. Each division is focused on R&D for each (ie Visus builds surveillance systems based off eyes). It’s also a bit of a commentary on Ai art. The androids create uncanny things because they don’t understand.

In between flying, my dad would sketch the area he was in at the time. Places like the Sudan, Nile, Holland, etc. I always love looking at these and imagining what it was like.
