Today, I enjoyed delivering an in-service training session on public health & #OccupationalTherapy in @NorthSomersetC The popcorn effect of ideas & connections is reassuring me that "upstream doing" is possible. It is lovely to see familiar faces alongside new colleagues, too 💚

Well done Hackney Marshes team - excellent impact for these people who benefit from the support of an occupational therapist in primary care settings. Vocational rehabilitation is important in supporting communities to access, remain in, and return to work. @AHPs4PH #PrimaryCare
During the visit, we explored the impact of the service, which was set up in 2022: ✅ 60% reduction in fit notes in the 3 months post-treatment ✅ 53% fewer GP consults in the same period ✅ 8.8/10 patient satisfaction
