Positivity; yesterday I learnt that a 27YO cardiac arrest, I attended last week, has made a full recovery and she is awaiting a pacemaker, to be fitted by the cardiologist HEMS Dr who also attended. Nothing like continuity of care 💚

Today arrived at an elderly suspect cardiac arrest, Firearm Officers on scene, who were dispatched as the closest resource with a defibrillator. Thankfully not as given. But fantastic example of team work between services, to provide early defibrillation if required 💚💙

It’s not the cardiac arrest I take home with me. It’s the conversation I have after with the family, the ‘death notification’ did I say too much, say too little. It’s a huge cognitive responsibility, that could have a massive impact on the families grieving process. 1/2
