National maths week is bringing plenty of excitement to Beaver Road! Today’s STEM session for years 5 and 6 was a visit from anaesthetist Dr Lancaster, who showed us the importance of maths skills in his job.

Another Citywide final and another GOLD MEDAL… Our girls have become the Citywide Cross Country Champions!!! The girls were outstanding, they have done themselves and the school very proud. Well done girls 🏆🥇🙌🎉

Our Year 6 debate team were victorious against Didsbury C of E this week. Here they are with their medals and trophies. They also secured a £40 donation to the Christie hospital as part of their prize. C’mon Beaver Road!
We had a blast today in Peat Rigg! From abseiling, caving, crate climbing and tackling the night line.. it’s safe to say we’ve conquered some fears and tired ourselves out 😄👌

Sport update: Another Beaver Road victory this evening at the South Manchester Netball qualifiers. The team were unbelievable. Played 5, won 5 and didn’t concede one net. Great overall team performance. Really proud of you all. Onto the finals we go…🏆🔥🙌💪

Beaver Road is part of the Manchester Pupil Parliament and today, as a way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, 22 of our pupils joined 300 or so others on a protest march in Manchester.

This morning we enjoyed some community digging in preparation for our yew hedge green screen, on the grounds of Barlow Medical Centre and Beaver Rd Junior School. A big thank you to everyone who came along 🙏😊🌏🌱
Our Tag Rugby represented Manchester at the Greater Manchester School games last week and were phenomenal. They played 6 games, winning 5 and losing 1, finishing in 3rd place with bronze medals. I can’t begin to explain how unbelievably proud I am of you all 🙌👊🥉

This half term has been one to remember. We have become South Manchester Swimming Champions, South Manchester Dodgeball runners up & Citywide Basketball Champions. Unbelievable achievement. All the boys and girls should be so proud of themselves. 🏆👍🙌
M&M productions challenged the year 6 team to a dance off during today’s pantomime. Miss Fox, Mr Smart and Ms Turner had a wonderful time at Cinderella! A huge thank you from all at Beaver Road Primary School the children loved it 🤶🎅🌟🌟🎄🤩🌲🕺💃
All of Reception have had so much fun wearing yellow to support Mental health - we have talked about how it is so important to look after our minds as well as our bodies. The reception team loved getting involved too!

Year 6 had lots of laughs on Lake Windermere today and showed fantastic teamwork to safely pull us through the choppy waves! We even got the chance to get even wetter at the end!
CHAMPIONS!!!!! Our year 5/6 Basketball team have just won the Citywide Basketball Finals and will now represent manchester at the Greater Manchester School games! I’m so proud of all our players!! Brilliant team performance 👍🙌🏆

We are so very proud of Isabel in Year 3 for winning the Portico Sadie Massey Award for best short story set in the North West. Isabel’s tribute to Formby was incredibly moving and we are blown away by her talent! Congratulations! 🎉
