Good example of the Rule of Three. Earlier sequence had Kurt BAMF two times. We added a third. Helps balances rhythm in writing and filmmaking. Spider-Man. Silver Samurai. Omega Red. Summers battlefront. Mansion front. Sunspot/Jubilee front. Like 3 acts. Feels complete.

I was likely subconsciously influenced by this when writing the #xmen97 finale beat of Rogue punching Bastion. Thatβs not Superman hammering Zod. Itβs Clark, a son furiously defending the woman who raised and protected him. The action is driven by emotion not plot. #manofsteel

Please remember, #XMen97 wouldnβt exist, nor be what it is, without @xmentas @xmendirector @dveese. They had to chart uncharted waters, before X-Men was what it was today. There was no mutant zeitgeist. They had to create it. This show is a love letter and a debt paid to them.

As with all costume changes, this decision was rooted in story for me and the themes Season 2 will explore. Obviously, these suits have strong ties to Genosha and E is for Extinction. #xmen97.

#XMen97 If you remember the OG series, Logan is actually complimenting Magneto when he does that deed. In a way, he understands why Magneto did what he didβ¦but still has to do the deed.

Sorry, Scoersce, #thisiscinema. Everything, the aspirational shot design and music, the flight choreography, Clark going from sauntering with heavy burden to soaring and smiling, sell the hope and power of an outsider discovering heβs too big for his adopted home. @ZackSnyder π

This actually isnβt all that surprising to me. Live action has always had a broader appeal by default. But I think shows like #xmen97, Invincible, Castlevania, and Blood of Zeus are doing their part to change this, which is super exciting.
Canβt believe Echo beat X-Men but itβs still a win.

Pretty amazing. One of my goals with the show was to show that animation can and should be treated as seriously as live action. To see #xmen96 nominated with stellar live action shows like Shogun means a lot.
