@Ur__Eminence @Phillyfloyd @ClayTravis When did I say they shouldn't try. You people take every argument to extremes. I just brought up the point that when you have a worn down defense in the 2nd half the way KC was, it's much easier for a QB to run up stats. It's a fact of football. It doesn't make him the mvp

@HunterMaher20 @zonaeagle @ClayTravis Not like Hurts fumble returned for a TD cost them at all..............you people who blame losses on a refs call are the biggest cry baby whiners in sports. You act that was the only relevant play in the game. Go cry somewhere else

Allen and Mahomes carried pretty mediocre teams to the playoffs this year......I would consider moving Hurts above Lemar because Lemar just doesn't seem to have the clutch gene. He just routinely under performs in big games. Allen and Mahomes are better pure passers. Hurts has to be in a balanced run oriented offense. If he has to throw 30+ times the Eagles tend to struggle. It's not who they are or who he is. I guess when I think of "elite" I think of guys who can throw it 30+ times a game and be great.......at the end of the day like most sports conversations it's all subjective....no right or wrong answer....just opinions. Anyway....enjoyed the debate...was more entertaining than the actual game. Lol Gotta get up for work in 5hrs. One thing I think we can agree on.......I'm happy for Barkley. That guy is a beast.

Come on man.....you make it sound like I want to give the mvp to equipment guys. Lol Look like I said I'm not saying he's a bum or played terrible.....or that he's even getting carried.....i'm just that defense deserves the bulk of the credit for the win. Anyway it's been fun debating we'll just have to agree to disagree. Honestly this debate has been more entertaining than the game was. Lol Congrats on the win. Celebrate. Enjoy it.

@zonaeagle @ClayTravis Ok go and compare rosters position for position and tell me he didn't have much better supporting cast in both games. Also I remember him dropping a fumble untouched in the open field that got returned for a TD in the first game. That cost them the game there buddy

@andy_coyle32 @ClayTravis The defense played better tonight than they did in that game. The cheifs had no shot on offense tonight

As far as who i would call elite......Allen, Mahomes, Stafford in his prime, Jayden Daniels has potential to get there.......Lemar Jackson has elite talent but seems to choke under pressure. If I was ranking Hurts I would probably put him somewhere in the 8 to 12 range from about spots 6-12 there's a jumble of guys that are pretty interchangeable. Honestly Hurts reminds me a lot of Russel Wilson in Seattle......Russ was really good when he had that Legion of Boom defense and Marshawn running the ball.....but as those other players either left or got old Russ's success faded some once he had to carry the team.

Would you say the same thing of superbowl winning QBs like Trent Dilfer from the Ravens or Brad Johnson from the Bucs. We're they also dominant in the most important position.....what about Peyton Manning in Denver? Those QBs all won a superbowl by not having to be the center piece. Hurts is not the center piece. That team revolves around line play and Barkley. MVP means you were the number one difference maker in the game. If you think Hurts was more of a difference maker than that defensive line then you are probably a blind Hurts fanboy.

@MrTwelveEight @GOTTHEJUICE843 @NickFoles No because the people who vote on those things seem to do it more on popularity or narrative more than merit. In other words if they can find an excuse to give it to a QB they will.

@Cut2TheChaseTV @ClayTravis With the way their defense dominated, half the starting QBs in the league would have won that game tonight........and why would you use Josh Allen as an example.....

@andy_coyle32 @ClayTravis So you are saying Hurts having 2 top end WRs, a top tier TE, a pro bowl Oline, a hall of fame RB, and a top 5 defense has nothing to do with his success........thats not hate.....thats facts. They would have won convincingly with Kenny Pickett at QB tonight

So how can Hurts be the MOST valuable player if you could have won the game without him. Also the Eagles were a top 5 defense so I dont think your argument about it just being bad offense works here. Hurts played well. The defense dominated. I'm not trying to trash anyone here......I'm simply saying that when a defense is that dominant in a game by scoring points, giving you short fields, forcing constant 3 and outs.........your won't need your QB to be great.....therefore their value towards the win is somewhat diminished

@MrTwelveEight @GOTTHEJUICE843 @NickFoles Ok answer this......if the defense played the same and Kenny Pickett had to start do the eagles still win tonight? Yes or no

He has an all star team around him. Half the QBs in the league would dominate with that roster. Hurts has had 2 good years.....even with a stacked roster. Even tonight.....he was average in the first half....threw a terrible INT. Then he beat up on an exhausted cheifs D that was on the field the entire game

@MrTwelveEight @GOTTHEJUICE843 @NickFoles Eagles D controlled the game. Cheifs had like 38 yards in the first half. Its easy to score on a defense that never gets off the field.

@Phillyfloyd @ClayTravis He was ok in the first half then beat up on an exhausted defense during a whole half that was garbage time......thats the very definition of padding your stats. The defense deserves that mvp
