Engineering Industry Manager: My thoughts on the Energy industry, Petrochemicals, Religion, Israel and Palestine, Economics and Equal Rights for All.

Violence and Discrimination, a short film from Pierre Rehov be seen by more people. It’s about women’s rights under the Palestinian Authority and Islam in general. This film has relevance to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, human rights, the role of religion in society and how the quality of life of women in a culture reflect on it as a whole. What a culture, government, religion or individual defines as “women’s rights” can vary greatly. I suggest watching this film and thinking about your own definition of women’s rights. Mine start with the Equal Rights Amendment. It should have been adopted long ago. Violence and discrimination via @YouTube

There’s no denying that sometimes a promotion is not given to the person with the most merit. Managers can be wrong, unfair or have a different opinion than you about who has the most merit. I’ve been the person who makes those decision. I always wanted to promote or hire the most qualified people. My job is easier if I have the most qualified people working for me. I have no motivation to not to hire the best people I can.

@Larry33077561 @KingKodiakBear @acnewsitics I’m fairly certain that NFL teams try to sign the best players they can. There are a lot of people who are good football players that try to sign with a team but are denied. Some people have more merit than others. Employers hire the candidates they believe have the most merit.

@acnewsitics If the NFL used DEI principles to select players there would be more white players. White people are underrepresented among NFL players. To increase diversity they’d have to stop hiring solely on merit and hire more white players.

@WfMoffatt1 @elonmusk The house is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. If someone is willing to pay $4000 a month that’s what it’s worth.

The retired person in your scenario is responsible for themselves and whatever mistakes they’ve made in life. The owners of the home they live in should not be forced to rent their property for a lower amount than they could get from others. Rent control confiscates money from one person and gives it to another. I wouldn’t like being forced to rent my property to someone for $1000 a month when someone else will pay $1500. That’s not fair to the owner or the people who can afford to pay market rate but are not allowed.

I did think about the possibility of losing half my net worth when I got married. I decided it was a risk I was willing to take. Every man who is considering marriage should make sure he understands the divorce laws in his state. It’s ridiculous for anyone to think that the legal and financial consequences men often face from a divorce doesn’t make them more reluctant to get married.

@atrupar Brennan is either intentionally misleading, ignorant of the facts, or stupid. Anyone with common sense can see that the UNRWA is clearly aligned with Hamas.

@JohnNichol57018 @WholeMarsBlog Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and Robert Reich are top offenders on making posts like this. I think Reich is the worst of them.

@MerianneJensen @48thStateisGr8 That’s not unique to USAID. Government spending gives politicians and government employee power, influence, and opportunity for graft.

I’ve been to Oxford Street. I haven’t been to Delhi but I have been to Mumbai. Mumbai is the most polluted place I’ve been. Economic growth is the key to improving conditions there. There are hungry people begging for food on the streets and living in awful conditions. A clean environment is a luxury they can’t afford. Pollution in London hasn’t been particularly noticeable to me but I’ve never thought about it while there. Apparently the Thames was far more polluted in the past, Air pollution in the U.S. has been reduced significantly since the 70s. I’m skeptical of claims that climate change plays a significant role in the frequency of economically harmful events. An energy source that is superior to fossil fuels in every characteristic would end fossil fuel use. No advocacy or government coercion would be required. Giving billions of dollars to the U.N. will not make that happen.

Governments and industry have been working on pollution reduction for decades and have been very successful. Not allowing any pollution is not realistic. The cost to do so would outweigh the benefits. Climate change is not disruptive to our economic order. Anti capitalist policy ideas advocated by climate activists are.

@cwebbonline People who truly believe in equality support fairness for all, not what’s best for their race or gender.

@elonmusk The amount of support that exists for rent control proves there are a lot of stupid people in this world.

@WfMoffatt1 @elonmusk There is never any justification for rent control. It’s a destructive and unfair concept.

@CynicalPublius Almost no one in the federal government, elected official or employee , thinks like a normal person. That’s why they are so shocked and confused by the DOGE team and Trump.

@wethetaxpayers1 @MailOnline A lot of them probably haven’t been fired before. Federal employees are notoriously difficult to fire and are almost never laid off.

This question has to be just to drive engagement. There’s no way Chambers is actually this dumb.
@mryan311 I'm really curious, genuinely, how do transgirls pose a threat to your daughters starting sport? What about the fathers of transgirls who won't ever get to see their kids play sports? What do you think will happen to your daughters if a transgirl is their teammate or opponent?
