Health care is a top priority for Americans of ALL stripes. But people don’t feel like either political party is taking that seriously. Our elected leaders need to focus on what WE say matters and create a healthcare system that works for all.

Our broken healthcare system is putting people in danger in all kinds of ways. Healthcare justice intersects with gender and economic justice. Nobody should be forced to stay in dangerous, life-threatening, or toxic situations in order to receive healthcare.

“A report published by the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations last fall found that the nation’s three largest MA insurers deliberately denied care to boost profits.” Yet again, we see Medicare (Dis)Advantage putting profits over patients. #ReclaimMedicare

Yeah, we’re going to keep bringing this up because it MATTERS! Call us old fashioned, but we believe you should understand the critical programs that are the backbone of this country’s health system if you want to be in charge of them.

A reminder that vaccines are safe, effective, and have saved countless lives around the world. And somebody who doesn’t realize or believe that is not a trustworthy public health leader.

Trump already reversed Biden’s policy on drug pricing - the one that made common medications less expensive. This paves the way for drug companies to raise prices, and it speaks to this administration’s priorities. If patients were the priority, Trump wouldn’t have done this.

The Trump administration’s bans on programs that promote “D.E.I.” and “gender ideology” are monstrous and will be catastrophic for individual care & our public health institutions. These phrases are dogwhistles for racism, homophobia, and transphobia. This is an attack on the health of our communities.

For profit insurance does. not. work. Our broken system overwhelmingly leaves behind those already most vulnerable to health disparities, such as people of color, low wage workers, and undocumented communities. We need change and we need it today.

👏👏👏 Patient autonomy and power should be front and center when it comes to achieving healthcare justice. We deserve healthcare that works for and benefits US!

Happy anniversary to the FMLA! This important policy was a significant step towards ensuring people can take care of themselves and their families without losing their jobs. But we still need more–paid leave and an affordable, accessible health care system for all! Congress CAN pass laws that bring us closer to healthcare justice. More of this, please.
