I completely agree, religion is not a problem in and of itself, it's when people engage with the text in an extremely bad faith manner; that's the fucking problem. Religion is not a justification for misanthropic beliefs, and hatred for others.
I don’t hate Christians. I hate Christians who act with hate in their hearts and use their belief in God as an excuse to feel morally superior. Read your own goddamn holy text and maybe you’ll realize you’re never seeing the light of heaven unless you change your ways.

It's called Star WARS, you have to elaborate on the full breadth of the WAR. World-building is really fucking important. If we don't understand the conflict, then we can't fully understand the characters arcs and themes. This is one of biggest issues with the Sequels.
Disney+ Losing 700k subscribers in January is for a reason. And the reason is people want better media where politics isn't the main focus in place of character development, throughful stories or relatable themes. We must bring movies and shows back to what it's all about, ENTERTAINMENT instead of a finite political message.
