Our team has worked extra hard to break down the mountain quickly, so you can enjoy the remnants of this historic season. Uphill access is now allowed. The mountain is fully accessible now, but trail limitations may occur as we begin work on our newest lift, DeMoisy Express.

Our ski patrol spent the last few days on avalanche mitigation, digging out lift terminals, sign lines.
The snow has been unstable in some areas so cleanup has been quite the project. It’ll open soon.

Due to recent snow fall, delayed openings at neighboring resorts and the holiday, we are experiencing a higher than usual volume of traffic that is extremely rare for us.

In additional to avalanche mitigation, snow clearance is an issue on several lifts.
We have an 18 foot base, which is unprecedented. There are several points where we have to push snow from underneath to safely open.
That has been completed on Wildcat Express, it is now open.

Needles Gondola will have a delayed opening on Monday as we perform a repair. There is not currently an ETA for when the work will be completed.
Those at the resort this weekend may have noticed it was running in a backup diesel motor. This repair will solve that issue.

4WD or CHAINS REQUIRED: Heavy snowfall has caused many roadway issues. Our teams are plowing parking lots, but snow is falling so rapidly it isn’t making much of a difference.

Snowbasin is hosting an IFSA Free Skiing Competiton this Friday and Saturday. Lone Tree and Middle Bowl Cirque will be closed to the public today, February 9th, to prepare for the event and will not reopen until after the competition - weather permitting.
