I believe as adults we are sometimes still just the kids we once were. Some of the thoughts and feelings are there still deep rooted. When you reach that moments you thought of as a kid, as an adult, that younger version can resurface. Feeling blessed to announce I will be performing music from “Being Poor is Expensive” at the 2025 MOBO Awards @MOBOAwards I actually wrote “Black Boys” after watching the 2006 MOBO Awards, secretly hoping I would be on the stage one day. Some people get things quickly, for others it takes longer. I hope this inspires someone’s journey today whatever you’re pursuing. You get there when you get there, on God’s timing. This is a nice moment still, the younger version of myself is smiling inside, the older version of me respects the journey. See you on Feb 18th in Newcastle, UK.

The Goat. Respect. “Life, I wonder, will it take me under, I don't know…” In almost every interview about ‘Being Poor is Expensive’ I’ve mentioned Nas as one of the inspirations. This was a surreal moment for me still.

I don’t quite have the words right now about the two sold out shows. I’ll circle back once I’ve processed everything properly. Both days were incredible. I can see what people are saying, many saying it’s one of the best concerts they’ve seen, I wouldn’t say that about my own thing but it’s lovely to see/hear and that’s a special feeling, thank you. I saw people with tears, I had them too but I held them in to focus on the show. One night there was actually an issue with my in-ear monitors so I was kinda performing in the dark, felt a bit hindered and restricted which was proper frustrating. Something also happened with the overall speaker sound which we weren’t able to fix on fly, so it was not 100%, not how I would want to present my art but life happens, I hope you all still managed to enjoy the show and didn’t notice too much. Thank you to my team, Eleven Mgmt, family, friends, Haile, Roses Gabor, Skrapz, Jay (Blackskull Creative), Eljay, the band, CityBoyMoe and the supporters that came out to make not one but two unforgettable evenings.
