So I walked into the barn today and was horrified to see a hummingbird caught in a spiders web. I jumped to action and carefully pulled him free hoping I was in time. It took awhile to clean his feathers and a bit of petting to calm down but after about a half-hour he flew away!

Heard from my nephew in Florida today. Gas went up about .80¢ in ONE day. Lotta people saying, "just buy a Tesla!" are completely ignorant of the GIANT chunk of society who don't have much money and really struggle to get by. The pain at the pump is fucking real.

This oak door belonging to Westminster Abbey is oldest and only Anglo-Saxon door in Great Britain. Door has been standing for over 950 years, dating back to reign of Edward the Confessor during 1050s. Door was made from a single oak tree from eastern England in medieval times.

Just got an update from my sister who lives just outside of Asheville. Apparently they have to rebuild the water system after the pipes were washed away. Water not expected for 2-3 MONTHS. This is WAY WAY worse than the media is even reporting.

So today I found a hummingbird on the ground that had hurt itself and couldnt fly, so I tended to it, hand fed it some water, gave it some shade to cool off, and then after an hour or so it felt well enough to leave my hand and fly away.
