Lucas Schaefer is the new College of Marin career home run leader. With his 3 run home run in the first inning today Schaefer passes Marcus Chiu and Steven Elsner with his 17th career home run.
A past memory came to me today. Former CF Fred Atkins told me how he would day dream sometimes about what people are doing on Mt. Tam. Blessed for the great ball players that have worn the Mariners jersey and the beautiful surrounding we have here in Marin.

The 2022 Mariners team set a record today when Donovan Ratfield hit his 2nd Home Run of the day. This HR broke the 1985 team record for Home Runs in a season. The 2022 team has 38 and counting heading into the final week of the season.

Jack Morken with a record tying day. “Mork” hit 3 HR tying Mariners great Brett Kim with 3 HR’s in a game. Mariners down 5-4 when Donovan Ratfield tied it in the 9th and Steven Elsner broke the tie with a 2 run triple. Capping the inning was Mork’s 3rd HR and a 10-5 victory.

Jake Tirk Pitcher and Donovan Ratfield catcher were locked in today and led the Mariners to a 4-0 win over Santa Rosa. Donny was 3-4 with a pair of solo HR. Tirk picked up the win going 7 innings with 10 K’s on 5 hits.

Big week for Donovan Ratfield and Steven Elsner helped the Mariners clinch a bid in the state playoffs. Ratfield went 9-16 7runs 2 2B 3 HR 10 RBI. Elsner went 8-14 7 Runs 3 2B 2 HR 9RBI.

Mariners win with a big 9th inning. Tied 4-4 in the 9th Parker Falzone started the inning off with a 2b. Riley Cronin Sac bunt and Donovan Ratfield HBP. Eric Woodrow broke the tie with a single and Trent Free and Riley Phelan hit back to back 2b’s. Final 9-5.
Game 4 goes to the Gold team 7-6. D’Andre Gaines (2-3 HR, 2 SB and 3 runs) and Bryant Thornton (1 IP 3 Ks 2-3 2 2b) were co-players of the game. Manager/Captain Benny Nazario team takes a 3-1 series lead.

Mariners win the series vs Mendocino College with a convincing 20-0 victory. On the day the Mariners collected 26 hits. Jack Loder pitched 8 shutout inning allowing only 3 hits with 3 Ks.
Mariners win 5-0 over DVC to open the 2024 season. Zach Coleman with the win going 6 scoreless innings with 11 K’s. Matteo Bellisimo 3-4 with 2 RBI. Mariners home opener tomorrow vs College of San Mateo 1pm.
Assistant coaches Caden Kreuter, Bill Ryan, and Stefen Henderson are Mariners of the week. They all are incredible men who continue to work hard helping the men they coach get better everyday. Special thank you for all your time, dedication, and knowledge you share daily.
As the sun goes down I would like to honor Ryan Moyer. A former Mariner pitcher and assistant coach. But more than that he is a friend. Someone I have learn so much from. Thank you Ryan and all the men and women who have served our county. Happy Veterans Day.
Congratulations to Sophomore LHP Chris Allen on completing an INCREDIBLE regular season. In 13 starts Chris is 12-0 with a 1.06 ERA and 94 Strikeouts in 93 Innings. Chris leads the state in wins and is 3rd in the state in both K's and ERA

Mariners win 9-6 over Napa Valley College. The first 5 hitters in the line up all collected two hits. Jacob Berg, Anthony Pomilia, Landen Moran, Connor Bardue, Dio Cornet. Demian White picked up the win and Michael Benz the save.
Jacob Campbell may have the nickname “Bambi” because he runs like a deer but yesterday he hit like a Buffalo hitting his first home run of the year. Mariners won 12-1 with a strong pitching performance from Jake Tirk. 7 IP 6 hits 6 k’s 1 run.
Mariners win 14-10 at Merced College. Anthony Pomilia 2-3 with 4 RBI. Jacob Berg 2-4 3 runs scored. Nick Roth picks up the win and Michael Benz gets the save with 3 2/3 innings of work. Mariners are off until conference play begins next week vs Napa.
Today the Mariners climbed back to .500 with a 2 out two run HR by Jacob Berg. But the at bat by Anthony Pomilia fighting off a tough slider with two strikes for a single before allow for the magic to happen. Keep the line moving.

Highlights from the weekend. Freshman Matt Lozovoy picked up his first college victory pitching 3.2 innings out of the bullpen giving up no hits and no runs.
Mariners had to battle back 3 different times and go extra innings on the road vs Mendocino College but found a way to win the game with an opposite field 2b from Eric Woodrow in the 10th.
Mariners Challenge is back! Individual competition with Med ball toss and shuttle run. Team challenges Tug of War and Sled run. Team Morken with the day 1 victory.
Mariners win big before the season is postponed. Matt Lozovoy has a career day with 14 K’s in his 6 innings of work. Offensively the Mariners collect 25 hits and won 21-2.
