What would be contents of new simplified income tax act, which is going to be tabled tomorrow ? Hope it’s not like half baked GST law, where we don’t have a meaning for “consignment note”. For shake of compliance we guiding clients to use reference from old Service Tax act.

Today i was at state GST appeal commissioner office for PH. While I waiting for PH , one business person came and shouting on inspector over there that ‘ you people have dismissed my appeal, just because i didn’t pay you bribe, i wanted to meet commissioner as my auditor told that , you asked 25k we didn’t pay you that’s the reason’ For this inspector told that, order was passed in sep 2023, you filed the appeal almost year latter, there is no powers in act for the commissioner can condone delay. As curiosity, casually asked businessman, he told that -while filing 2017-18 annual return they paid differential liability if Rs.12622 through 9C -and these department people raised SCN , order, everything on portal, they haven’t communicated me, this came my knowledge only when they sent bank attachment notice to banker. At this point of time inspector intervened and explained that, Department officers experienced trouble in viewing 9C and 2A updated data. Then businessman asked, who has owner this GST portal me or you. Defect of your data why punishment to the people who don’t have access? Then businessman told me that, for Rs.54000 liability they asking 25000 through my auditor. Then I showed section 128A, go home pay just 12622, even though you already paid. Don’t waste your time on this illogical GST litigation. And this GST is not like prompt people and it’s heaven for bill traders, bribers etc.,
